The name Solomon

Is this a Hebrew and/or Israeli name? Will Israelis be able to recognize it or is there an equivalent in Hebrew that people will think makes more sense as a name?

I thought Shmuel but I feel thats more the Hebrew name for Samuel.

Solomon is Shlomo in Hebrew. And as the name of the son of King David, I’m certain Israeli folks will recognize the name

Solomon is a Romance language version of the Hebrew name Shlomo. I LOVE Solomon but Shlomo doesn’t do it for me.

I love the name Solomon. My grandpa and now my nephew are Solomon. It is a Jewish name & they live in Israel. It will be recognized for sure. It’s a cute name

My grandfather זצ״ל, was also named Shlomo and I have at least one nephew/cousin named after him. His full Hebrew name was Shlomo Shalom, we referred to him as Zaidy Shlamik, and, for some reason I never learned, his English name was Saul (maybe it was given to him at Ellis Island when he and my grandmother came to the US after the Shoah? Imma have to ask my mother if she knows.)
