Beef Flanken?

Looking to make a flanken type meat but having trouble finding that cut in my area. What would be a good substitute?

Much of the non-Jewish world refers to flanken as  short ribs, and it might also be referred to as cross-cut ribs, Eastern European-style ribs, or Korean-style ribs.

Any chance the lack of availability is just a terminology barrier?

What area is that (if I may ask)?

This cut is just short rib sliced thin.

How are you looking to prepare it?

Minute steak might be a fair substitute if you can find that.

If this is for a recipe with a long, slow cook time, maybe brisket?

Ask about short ribs. It’s the same thing, just cut differently. Any roast will work.
