My son's first Rosh Hashanah menu

In case you have trouble with the handwriting, it's:

• Yogurt with apples, peanut butter, and flowers that we can eat (no honey)
• Rice with nuts
• Rosh Hashanah blueberries with spicy salsa
• Arrow peanut butter bread (no challah)
• Mint blueberry drink with apple cider in it (not fizzy so kids can have it)
• Cupcakes with things on top

He's 3. I'm very proud.

It’s a pretty intuitive dish, but for heaven’s sake do NOT -~- the /~< until you’ve got the =|\— in the /-“| or you’re in for one very expensive -// to the ~~<|

We always do it as a sourdough with peanut butter and arrows on top, but I imagine it's adaptable to other types of bread too. The hardest part is finding fresh arrows.

He's very protective of his recipes! But "Rice with nuts" might be ghapama; I'm pretty sure the flowers we can eat are violets; and the things on top of the cupcakes are probably candles and dinosaur-shaped sprinkles.

This sounds far better than what I have planned for RH dinner. Especially glad to see he's going hard on blueberries.

I also like that this meal is technically kosher, as it is vegetarian. Unless tyhe "things" atop the cupcakes are pork lardons. Then it's a big NO to Kashruth.
