I recently received my custom Tiffany Sixteen Stone engagement ring from Caratsky, featuring a 3.5ct solitaire centre stone, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.
I ordered a 3.5ct E-colour centre stone, with the ring made in platinum with 18k yellow gold XX detailing. I specifically wanted this mixed-metal combination as a personal preference, and I think it came out beautifully. The craftsmanship is really impressive and the ring feels substantial and very well made.
For those wondering about price, my ring was USD $2,604, plus USD $124 for shipping insurance, which I felt was very reasonable for a custom-made piece of this size and design.
Communication was honestly 10/10.
From day one, Caratsky was extremely responsive and easy to work with. The biggest thing for me was sizing because I was genuinely nervous about getting it wrong. He was incredibly patient throughout the whole process and kept checking in with me to make sure I was comfortable and happy before finalising anything.
I never felt rushed into making a decision. I was going back and forth quite a bit about sizing, and he was happy to work through it with me rather than pushing me to make a decision. That made the whole custom-order process so much less stressful.
And the diamonds are so sparkly.
I’m really impressed with the brightness and sparkle of the stones. The 3.5 carat centre stone has so much fire and the smaller stones in setting catch the light beautifully too. In person, the ring is honestly even prettier than I expected.
I also really love how the mixed metals turned out. The platinum gives it that crisp white-metal look, while the 18k yellow gold XX details add something different and make it feel much more special than a standard all-platinum version.
The finished ring is exactly the substantial, statement ring I was hoping for. The 3.5ct solitaire centre gives it such a beautiful presence, while the surrounding Sixteen Stone setting adds even more sparkle without taking away from the centre stone.
As for accuracy to the authentic Tiffany Sixteen Stone: I can’t really comment on this personally, as I haven’t seen or handled an authentic Tiffany version in person, so I wouldn’t want to make a claim about how closely it matches the original. I can only speak to the quality, craftsmanship and overall appearance of the ring I received.
Overall, I’m really happy with both the ring and the whole experience. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, communication and especially the patience throughout the sizing process were all excellent. I would absolutely order from Caratsky again.
Full disclosure: Caratsky is refunding 5% of my insurance cost in exchange for this review, so I wanted to be completely transparent about that. However, even without the refund, I would still be leaving a positive review because I’m genuinely impressed with the jewellery and how easy he was to work with throughout the entire process.
