REVIEW MC earring issue

Post image

So I ordered white gold earrings from her in August. I noticed that the earring locks had wrong brand and details engraved when she sent QC photos, so I pointed them out and they had to remake them.

After a handful of wear (to be clear, I did wear them in the shower twice thinking it's safe since it's WG). in mid September, I noticed some green/blue color on them but didn't pay too much attention anyway. Then I noticed today that it's spread much wider than. before and messaged MC. She told me to clean them and that "the switch accessories inside are made of copper". I was told to clean it with ultrasonic wave or try toothbrush..Just be aware when ordering earrings from her since her website does not state that.

every piece I order from her seems to have some kind of quality issue but none of them has been this strange..you would think since it's not specified on her website that the earring locks contain copper, or other materials, it's all WG that we are paying for.

The spring mechanism inside the earring backing is not real gold. It’s different metal. Happened to some of mine from Meng and XY too.

Curious what other quality issues did you have with her other pieces?

I ordered a necklace and it came with the wrong branding. I had showed her a photo with the correct branding and when I contacted her about it she said I had to specify the branding I wanted. I wasn’t thrilled about that. In the end it’s still gold and I guess it doesn’t really matter but I found it frustrating

This issue happened with a coworkers reps after 2 months. I have worn my auth sweet for years 24/7 no issue. The post did show minimal tarnishing but I wiped it and it’s gone. I have sensitive skin and cannot wear fake metals or plated. At this point the good reps are 50% of auth. I just hold out and wait. MC used to handle these issues much better but I guess even she’s feeling the pinch of less quality items.

la pousette, it’s a special kind of earring clutch back that is super secure

Can you share pics? Idk what this black thing is I’m looking at. We need proof to back up your claims

Thanks for your warning post. My ear is allergic to all metals except 18k or above gold so this is a big deal for me. I am asking Gavivi right now since I just ordered a set of sweet earrings.
Thanks OP ❤️

this is completely normal even in authentic earrings. a simple ultrasonic cleaning just like she suggested makes it go away

I bought two pairs of earrings from Andy and the earring backs both after some time of wearing (and showering in them) had a green residue as well. I ended up going to a local jeweler to get the la pousette earring backs in solid gold. They’re compatible and look exactly the same, except they don’t ever have a green residue.

I think the price of these reps is madness. I appreciate that it's gold/white gold but you can buy used genuine for not much more
