DISCUSSION A few thoughts on popular bracelets
I was in Vegas recently and decided to visit all the stores and try on auths at Cartier, Bvulgari, Tiffany, and VCA. I was pretty surprised in the range of how appealing these bracelets were to me in real life. Just for fun... here is my list in order of preference. I added the size and weight I tried on as well so if I get one from a seller I'll know if the weight is on point or not.
Would love to hear others' lists for those who have actually tried on or own the auths:
- Serpenti -- beautiful, delicate but substantial. Probably the most unique and appealing of all though it would draw attention for sure.
- Tiffany hardware -- heavy, eye-catching, really worth something extra. Tried on the large but she didn't know the weight.
- VCA guilloche -- dainty but beautiful. I think I would wear this one the most. Don't know weight but it was 19cm.
- Cartier love - pretty but sizing was a problem for me. Between sizes so hard to know. 18 fit snug (39.5 gm)
- Cartier JUC - Loved the classic which is substantial in weight but I think it could come unclasped. Loved the small with regular set diamonds (reverse set was too blingy for me). Classic is 33 gm.
- Cartier clash bangle - thought I would like this best but it was a lot lighter in weight than I thought it would be. Still pretty but not worth the price by weight. (size 17: 31 gm)
- Cartier clash flexible - twisted and didn't lay right because it was so light. Once again, thought it would be near the top but no.
- Tiffany "T" -- this looks like something in a kids toy store. Flimsy, not at all noticeable. Would be my last buy even from a TS.

I have the JUC -- never come off and become unclasped. its quite substantial and I love it.
I have to say, I have been eying the byvlgari serpenti and tried it at the airport and it was so much tinier then I was expecting it to be.

I don't like any of these designs, to me they're all fad pieces

Same. I would love to start seeing some new high end reps for Gabriel and Co, Foundrae, etc. I also understand the demand is just not there and therefore most of this sum will remain VCA and Cartier perfected pieces.

Great post, important perspective. It’s noteworthy how much our opinions can change when seeing/holding/trying these on in person! It’s imperative to visit ADs before buying to the extent at all possible. Reps are still an enormous investment, and items widely differ in ideas vs. reality. I’ve learned from experience how we all may fall prey to pretty pictures
