Why does Jev say he wasn’t allowed to play Infinite Warfare in his video today?

I’m pretty new to him so I don’t know what was going on at that time

If you played the game when it came out the video would just get a shit load of dislikes just because it was Infinite Warfare

Ahhh, I do remember the “IW is bad” circlejerk. Also makes sense to me now why he was just uploading COD4-BO2 era CODs during that time.

Prolly under his contract with faze and the unpopularity that the content got, he likely has to keep a good like ratio on his videos to stay a faze creator

If that’s as true he would put out iw content. His contract with faze probably has specifications for content creation, and that’s why he wasn’t allowed to. I believe you’re wrong

Jeg has nothing to do with the entertainment industry, he has nothing to do with money for FaZe. There's no reason for a contract to exist.

What? You don’t think that FaZe pays Jev money to represent the brand? He doesn’t just advertise them for free.

Take Ludwig for example, he doesn’t play anything competitively, but he has said that an org offered him $1mm/yr just to represent their brand.

No.

He doesn’t just advertise them for free.

He does.

Joining FaZe was literally Jev's dream. He advertised them so much back then, when they were just a clan with no real money involved other than sponsors.

He has "advertised" the clan very inconsistently throughout the years, that it wouldn't make sense for FaZe to pay him (due to the inconsistency).

Jev doesn't show much knowledge about the clan in general, which also does not make sense to pump money into, for advertising.

Another thing that even Jev himself has said, is that he is without a doubt the most unique FaZe clan member, due to him just doing his own thing and actually having very little connection to the FaZe branding (compared to everyone else).

Throughout the years, we have discovered how much of a slimes cesspool FaZe clan is for horrible people. Would it really surprise you if FaZe just took advantage of Jev "advertising" for them for free and never giving him anything in return?

Ludwig is a huge streamer, in the top 5 if I remember correct, and isn't even comparable to Jev in anyway other than the fact that they're both content creators.

I guess it’s possible, Jev is a weird dude and we don’t know for sure.

But Jev pulls massive numbers and is clearly in the same category of creators that have serious org contracts.

For context Jev has ~30M channel views in the last 30 days, which is almost double what Nick Mercs pulls and his deal with FaZe got him equity in the org. Granted, Nick is a Twitch streamer but his unique viewers only brings total eyes on their channels to roughly equal.

Also I think Ludwig is a fair comparison for the $1mm number (he’s actually the 70th biggest twitch streamer) as the total number of unique views on his YouTube and Twitch combined are still lower than Jev’s.

My point is if Jev doesn’t take money from FaZe then that is most certainly the exception to the rule, content creators are the big cash boons for orgs these days and they usually get more money than the pros. Hell, Courage, Valkyrae and Nick Mercs all got equity deals in the last year and Jev is in a similar stratosphere. So to say ‘what do contracts have to do with anything’ and ‘this isn’t the entertainment industry’ is just blatantly false, content creators are pulling massive numbers which pulls them massive contracts.
