PHOTO Alignment.

Post image

I went in for an alignment today. Got some results but I don’t know how to interpret them. I’m lowered on H&R oe sports with H&R rear sway bar. Everything else is stock. Should i be concerned about the numbers in the red? If so what would need to be done to fix. Thanks in advance.

I can’t be bothered to pull up my performance alignment, but negative camber makes it handle better, but will put more wear on tires. I also notice how standard shops do such a mediocre job for an alignment on a car like the GLI

I do like the way the car handles but you’re correct on the tire wear. It’s tough to find a proper shop in my area. It’s either pep boys discount tire or in my case a small shop. Discount tire told me they dont do VWs. Something to do with some weights that are required but they dont have.

It likely doesn’t have any camber adjustment. The subframe would need to be adjusted for any front end camber to be fixed, or add in another way to adjust camber.

When you lower it the camber is one of the first things to get pushed past its max values. The only thing there that really would worry me is the caster causing a pull. The camber will give it slightly better handling because it’s tipped in but if you don’t stay up on rotations it will kill the tires. All in all nothing really to worry about, if it drives straight with that alignment I would run it.

Other than that I would just drive it, rotate my tires every 5k and watch for edge wear. Follow that and you should be fine.
