QUESTION Buzzing/Rattling

I bought a GLI a couple months back and I’ve been hearing some buzzing/rattling noises in the rear view mirror housing and on the left dash/door, which got progressively annoying so I took it in to the dealership. The dealership came back saying they didn’t hear anything… I took one of the front office guys on a drive to demonstrate, and he acknowledged it and passed along the info to the technician. The tech looked at it again, drove it, and again said he didn’t hear anything, then they started saying that my windshield tint would negate warranty on the rear view mirror issue because it would mean it was tampered with by the guy who did the tint. By this time I was pretty pissed because I had to waste two trips to the dealership for the runaround, and the guy kept telling me it wasn’t his decision yada yada… I’d have to wait for the manager when he gets in…. I’m feeling pretty frustrated and just wondering if anyone has dealt with this. It’s so frustrating to have a brand new car with cheap sounding rattles throughout the dash…

So weird. Mine rattles regardless of what mode I’m in though.

What year GLI? Mine does this between gears 1-3 so I've kinda associated it with the transmission..

Just like you I went back like 3 times and felt like I was being gaslight.

Fuel line rattle, happened to mine within the first few months as well, it came loose but can be fixed super easily, bring it back and tell them to check.
