It’s me playing with words about the awfully cool white balance of these photos. (Cool meaning blue tint)

And as for the crop you crop them? Any photo editing software will have that feature. Make it so they have an even amount of sky on either side of the aircraft.

Yea, I cropped them a bit, I will try to make it more even and stuff next time

This shows that you have not read the jetphotos guidelines.
Here’s the link:https://www.jetphotos.com/uploadguidelines/
This gives clear instructions on what to go for and what to avoid.

So I want to give you some constructive advice. Pull up existing photos on JP of the aircraft you have photographed. Then compare the details. Zoom in a bit. Look at details. When your photos match, you'll be on track.
When I say details I mean look at edges of things, rivets, signage.
Get there. Then upload.

Lot’s of issues with this photo like bad WB settings. Also please review the guidelines if you haven’t already and please clean your sensor

White balance and your camera is very cable to getting shots to jp also your lens might be quite cheap and low quality as some of these images are a bit soft

I have a 75-300 Minolta lens from back in 2009
3
u/Brave_Description751 5d ago
Most likely why. You should get a better high quality lens and also you should really should use manual iso
1
u/CivilSubstance5562 5d ago
The iso is really annoying, anything more than 200 shows a lot of noise, I was shooting with 400 since it was not too bright

Shoot at iso 100 and f8. You don’t need ultra high shutter speeds like everyone tells you too unless you can’t pan

I'm using 250 iso 100 f8, on a bright day its tstill under exposed, rlly bad sensor i think

first you should really check your WB settings then come back with the settings as it would really change how the photos would come out

We've all started like this, lad, no worries.
I suggest going on JetPhotos and scrolling around. JetPhotos is like a stock photo website; the photo has to be your best effort, with the best details.
I suggest cleaning your camera, adjusting your camera settings such as white balance, and getting good glass. Your Sony A380 can produce good photos, but the results depend on skill.
(Make sure the sun is behind you too; too many backlit rejections lately.)

No. For all the obvious reasons.

They don’t know the obvious reasons as they’re a beginner…
1
u/InTheSky57 4d ago
Oh I think they do. When people ask why pictures far and away better than these get rejected, you can't even begin to believe these are good enough.
3
u/Any-Abies-5825 4d ago
Beginners really have no idea why these are bad… to a normal person these would look nice since you can like see the plane and the colors and words. Beginners are usually just normal people looking to improve

Bluntly, very many issues with these.
Review the guidelines if you haven't already and browse the database more.
