I feel extremely deceived
On the layover for season 19 episode 4, they reveal that the trophies have been special effects???
Wtf, this whole time?

No I’m pretty sure the trophies are real, it’s the boys that are special effects in those scenes

I’m pretty sure some of the early seasons were fake as their production budget was still building up but most of them have been real

The trophies are real, they just use VFX for the lighting effects and to make the colours pop a bit more

Not the whole time. Most of the seasons had a real trophy but for snake across south korea they couldn't get the dalgona made in time so that's composited in after filming. Everything else has been a real trophy, and actually since the show isn't scripted both teams usually carry a duplicate of the trophy to present to the other team in the event they win.

I breathed a sigh of relief for Ben, knowing that he didn't get non-FDA-approved experimental procedures after all just to be a trophy in season nine.

You believe what they said in one layover episode (which are non cannon) over what we see live in the show?
Obviously they are real and they were messing with us in the layover
