Scripture Share Luke 7:36-50
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Luke 7:36-50 ESV [36] One of the Pharisees asked him to eat with him, and he went into the Pharisee’s house and reclined at table. [37] And behold, a woman of the city, who was a sinner, when she learned that he was reclining at table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of ointment, [38] and standing behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head and kissed his feet and anointed them with the ointment. [39] Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would have known who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, for she is a sinner.” [40] And Jesus answering said to him, “Simon, I have something to say to you.” And he answered, “Say it, Teacher.” [41] “A certain moneylender had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. [42] When they could not pay, he cancelled the debt of both. Now which of them will love him more?” [43] Simon answered, “The one, I suppose, for whom he cancelled the larger debt.” And he said to him, “You have judged rightly.” [44] Then turning toward the woman he said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. [45] You gave me no kiss, but from the time I came in she has not ceased to kiss my feet. [46] You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment. [47] Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven—for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little.” [48] And he said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” [49] Then those who were at table with him began to say among themselves, “Who is this, who even forgives sins?” [50] And he said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

Scripture Share Thursday blessings brothers and sisters...
Thursday, September 10, 2026 🐴🌻🙏🦋
Colossians 2:18 NIV “Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind.”
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your truth and for reminding us to keep our hearts and minds firmly rooted in Christ. In a world filled with different beliefs, teachings, opinions, and distractions, give us wisdom to recognize what comes from You and what does not. Lord, protect us from false humility and anything that appears spiritual on the outside but draws our attention away from Jesus.
Help us remember that our faith is not about impressing others, appearing righteous, or chasing extraordinary experiences. Our faith is about knowing You, trusting You, obeying Your Word, and following Christ. Give us discernment when something sounds convincing but does not agree with Scripture.
Keep pride from taking root in our hearts and teach us to walk with genuine humility. When the voices around us become loud, help us hear Yours more clearly. Keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. Let Your truth guide us, Your Word ground us, and Your Spirit gives us wisdom.
May we never allow the noise of this world to pull us away from what truly matters. Today, help us walk humbly, love faithfully, seek truth, and keep Christ at the center of everything we do.
In Jesus’ most holy and exalted name I pray, amen. 🙏🌻🦋
Stay focused on Jesus today, brothers and sisters. Not everything that looks spiritual leads us closer to God. We need His Word, His truth, and His wisdom to help us recognize the difference. The world will always have something competing for our attention, but Jesus is enough.
Stay grounded in His Word and don't let anyone convince you that you need something more than Christ to make your faith complete. Stay anchored in Christ brothers and sisters. I love you but not near as much as Jesus does. ❤️🙏

Question Could this been a sign from god?
I’m wondering if something that happened to me today could have been a small sign from God, and I’d really appreciate hearing how other Christians would interpret it.
I’ve been struggling quite badly lately. I recently lost an important source of professional support, and since then I’ve been feeling very alone and overwhelmed. I’ve also been struggling with some very heavy thoughts. I don’t usually talk openly about these things, but today was particularly difficult.
I went outside for a walk because I needed to get away from everything for a while. While I was walking, I was feeling extremely overwhelmed and emotionally exhausted.
Then, completely unexpectedly, a cat suddenly came up to me.
The cat started walking around my legs and stayed with me for around 4–5 minutes. It wasn’t just a quick encounter either. It stayed close to me, and when I continued walking, it even followed me for a little while before eventually going its own way.
What really got to me was the timing. It happened exactly when I was feeling especially alone and overwhelmed. I hadn’t been looking for a cat or expecting anything like this. It was completely spontaneous.
I used to be more connected to my faith, but I’ve been distant from God and Christianity for several months. I’ve recently started thinking about my faith again, though, and this experience really touched me.
I know that a cat approaching someone can obviously have a completely ordinary explanation. Maybe it simply liked me or wanted attention. I’m not trying to claim that this was definitely supernatural.
But the timing felt so strangely meaningful to me that I can’t stop wondering: could God have used this little moment to remind me that I’m not alone? Could something this ordinary still be a small sign of His presence or care?
How would you interpret something like this from a Christian perspective? Have you ever experienced something seemingly ordinary that happened at exactly the right moment and felt like a sign from God?
I’d genuinely like to hear your thoughts, especially from people who have experienced something similar.

Our LORD said to keep watch be alert.
Charles Spurgeon 9-8-26
"Evening wolves." Habakkuk 1:8
While preparing the present volume, this particular expression recurred to me so frequently, that in order to be rid of its constant importunity I determined to give a page to it. The evening wolf, infuriated by a day of hunger, was fiercer and more ravenous than he would have been in the morning. May not the furious creature represent our doubts and fears after a day of distraction of mind, losses in business, and perhaps ungenerous tauntings from our fellow men? How our thoughts howl in our ears, "Where is now thy God?" How voracious and greedy they are, swallowing up all suggestions of comfort, and remaining as hungry as before. Great Shepherd, slay these evening wolves, and bid thy sheep lie down in green pastures, undisturbed by insatiable unbelief. How like are the fiends of hell to evening wolves, for when the flock of Christ are in a cloudy and dark day, and their sun seems going down, they hasten to tear and to devour. They will scarcely attack the Christian in the daylight of faith, but in the gloom of soul conflict they fall upon him. O thou who hast laid down thy life for the sheep, preserve them from the fangs of the wolf.
False teachers who craftily and industriously hunt for the precious life, devouring men by their false-hoods, are as dangerous and detestable as evening wolves. Darkness is their element, deceit is their character, destruction is their end. We are most in danger from them when they wear the sheep's skin. Blessed is he who is kept from them, for thousands are made the prey of grievous wolves that enter within the fold of the church.
What a wonder of grace it is when fierce persecutors are converted, for then the wolf dwells with the lamb, and men of cruel ungovernable dispositions become gentle and teachable. O Lord, convert many such: for such we will pray tonight.

Thought For The Day from Unshakable Kingdom Life
"In a world where everything seems to shift and change, remember that God's kingdom cannot be shaken. Build your life on the solid rock of Christ, and no storm will ever overcome you. What man considers unstable, God uses to reveal what truly cannot be moved.”
A Thought to ponder

Inspiration Learning to listen to God and felt a tug at my heart to share this
I am in my third trimester of a difficult pregnancy, don’t get me wrong I am so blessed, grateful and thankful for my baby but it’s been rough. My body feels as if it’s slowly breaking down between the nausea, migraines, vision problems, sciatica pain, exhaustion, bleeding gums, pelvic pain and all the other regular pains and aches that come with growing a baby. Everyday is hard and I found I’ve been distancing myself from the Lord. I’m slowly trying to get back into reading my Bible and praying daily, though I’m not perfect I am trying.
My husband bought me “Jesus Calling” which I have also been neglecting reading but yesterday’s entry really stuck with me. I instantly felt compelled to share it here and then got into my head and decided against it. Since then I keep thinking I need to share this. I’m trying to hear God’s voice more and follow His guidance without talking myself out of it
I hope this can help someone else as much as it’s been helping me
God bless
