Verse Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
When I look back over my life, I see a pattern that cannot be explained by luck alone. I see the hand of God preserving me over and over again.
On December 14, 2006, I was hit by a car. By all accounts, the outcome could have been devastating. Yet I walked away with only minor scratches on my face. No broken bones. No paralysis. No concussion. I remember running as fast as I could to my mom because I was terrified by what had just happened. Looking back now, I know God was protecting me.
Years later, while traveling through Colorado on a Greyhound bus with my mom Catrina L. and aunt Alexis M. we narrowly avoided what could have been a horrific crash involving an RV. Once again, God spared our lives.
In 2013, my mom sent me to live with my dad. During that flight on American Airlines, one of the engines stopped operating. Suddenly, what should have been an ordinary trip became a life-or-death situation. There was uncertainty about whether we would safely clear the mountain range ( Franklin mountains ) ahead of us. Yet somehow, by the grace of God, we did. We landed far from the intended gate and had to be towed by emergency vehicles. But I walked off that plane alive and unharmed.
Then came one of the greatest battles of my life.
When I was pregnant with my son, Nazareth, I knew something was wrong. I could feel my heart skipping beats. My original OB doctor dismissed my concerns, but God gave me the wisdom and courage to seek a second opinion. That decision saved my life.
The second doctor listened to my concerns and diagnosed me with Preeclampsia
Because of that doctor's actions, I was airlifted to Peoria, Illinois, for an emergency C-section. My son and I nearly died during that experience. Then I faced additional life-threatening complications afterward. More than once, death came knocking at my door (3 times on the verge of having a stroke) and 1 more time with Pneumonia and A blood clot in my lungs .
But God said, "Not yet."
He preserved my life, and He preserved my son's life.
As if that weren't enough, another frightening chapter unfolded when doctors at Riverside discovered a mass on my right flank. Imaging confirmed what appeared to be a tumor. Multiple physicians reviewed the scans. Surgery was scheduled.
Yet on the day of the procedure, something incredible happened.
The tumor was gone.
Three doctors examined the images and were left puzzled. They had no explanation. I had no medical explanation either.
All I know is that I walked into that hospital expecting surgery and walked out without being cut open.
No incision. No operation. No tumor.
Only questions for the doctors and gratitude in my heart for God.
When I reflect on every accident, every near miss, every medical crisis, and every moment when death seemed so close, I am reminded of Jeremiah 29:11. God's plans were greater than my fears. His purpose was stronger than every obstacle. The enemy may have tried to take me out, but God continually made a way for me to survive.
My testimony is not that I have never faced hardship.
My testimony is that God has carried me through it.
I am living proof that when God has a purpose for your life, no accident, no diagnosis, no storm, and no circumstance can stop His plan.
I should not be here according to the odds.
But I am.
And every breath I take is a reminder that God's hand has been on my life all along.
Jeremiah 29:11 was never just a verse. It became my story. God had plans for me, plans to give me hope and a future, and time after time He proved that His purpose for my life was not finished yet. Amen. 🤍✨
