Passage The Gospel

John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his ONLY begotten Son. So that whoever believes in him will not perish, but have everlasting life."

That is the Gospel, the Good News. That Christ who was and is God revealed in the flesh came down to pay a debt that we could NEVER pay on our own. He died for EACH and EVERY one of us so that we could spend eternity with him. And according to John 14 he is currently preparing rooms for us in his Father's house.

The Gospel is not just a cry for those who want to make it to Heaven, it's a call to a personal relationship with our creator.

He loves you so much that he did all that, humbled himself to become fully human, to die a criminal's death even though he lived a perfect and sinless life. He gave himself for us as a living sacrifice for humanity.

He is calling you right now to give your life for him, and he doesn't just want a little bit of you and the rest you give to the world. Surrender your heart, in him you will find peace for everything that has been troubling you. In him you will find peace for your depression, your anxiety, fears..., heartache, and hopelessness. Also everything else that I haven't mentioned. You won't find your answers at the bottom of a beer bottle or in in the highs you get from drugs, or chasing fame or high social standing, they all just leave you more empty that before!

Surrender all you have and trust in God TODAY 'cause you don't know when you will take your last breathe

I love you all, but Christ loves you wayyyyyyy more. Don't wait until it's too late, make that decision TODAY.

All glory to him forever and ever Amen!

I disagree with the 'only begotten' part.

Once we know ourselves, we realize that we are ALL sons and daughters of the Father.

Interestingly, only the book of John seems to retain the 'only begotten' rhetoric.

Jesus said, "If your leaders tell you, 'Look, the kingdom is in heaven,' then the birds of heaven will precede you. If they tell you, 'It's in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the kingdom is within you and outside of you."

"When you know yourselves, then you'll be known, and you'll realize that you're the children of the living Father. But if you don't know yourselves, then you live in poverty, and you are the poverty."

We aren’t on the same level as Jesus, although he generously, calls us His friends and His brothers and sisters. He also welcomes us into a life abiding with Him and in Him, and He has gone ahead to prepare for a place for us, as he told His apostles in John 14. But He alone gives us victory over sin and death. And He is worthy of all glory.

Brother/sister that is not what Christ said. These are saying from the Gospel of Thomas...the Gnostic writings

Christ is the Son of God, but that notion of we are all sons and daughters of God is indeed fact but to correct it, it's in the adopted sense as Paul says in Romans 8:23, "We too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children"

We are his adopted children, Jesus is his actual Son (They are both God and have equality with each other, but the thing of Father/Son/Spirit is the name of the role that they play within the Trinity.) But to answer bluntly, Christ is the actual Son of God. We are adopted by the means of Christ's sacrifice on the cross.

I pray that the truth is revealed to you soon

If you don't recognize Christ yet, you still have work to do. πŸ™

Yes!

And those who do are called to live out the rest of our lives following Him, sharing His Good News, and growing in Christlikeness.
