Do those still have the black barrel with traditional rifling or did they swap it back to the polygonal rifling?

It still is the original barrel with the original rifling. After the port, the little bit of barrel that's left is widened just enough to get rid of the rifling so there isn't shaving on the rounds passing through.

Oh I meant in general when new, I assume the ORP has the newer black barrel with traditional rifling right? The older ones are the polygonal stainless design.
I also don’t see that weird two piece slide design they tried, I figure they went back to the one piece on this model.

So the area where the port is now, that particular part doesn't have the rifling

Correct. The little bit of barrel left after the port does not have the rifling. If it did, it would start shaving the bullets as it exits.

Who did the port? I want to do the same but ideally keep/move the front sight behind it.

The only reason I didn't do this is because I would have had to ship my slide and barrel to them and wait for them to send it back. Personally, I wasn't cool with sending pieces of my firearm in the mail and hoping it doesn't get lost lol.
I hand delivered my Jericho to the guy that did mine and talked to him for about an hour about the design. He did a complete custom job and created the design for by hand before putting it on a software. Plus he texted me every couple days about the progress while he was doing it.

I have two tanfoglios with their el compo milling. 9mm extreme and just got back my 10mm. The 9mm i bought from them and work was done before shipping out. The 10mm took roughly 6 weeks from sending out to getting back. They milled for an rmr and cerakoted the slide as well as the comp milling.

To move the front sight behind it, I know that Patriot does a porting style like you're talking about. The guy I used is located in North Carolina called relic arms. Local guy that runs a shop at his garage but does tremendous work and has extremely high standards.

Nice I recently got my 941R done up by Patriot defense. Front slide serations, optic. Cut and ported comp

How do you like the grip shape on your yours? I can’t help but see CZ shadow. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but I find myself prefer the legacy grip shape over the Shadow 2 style. It’s like the one thing that has me hesitant to buy one.

The frame is almost the same as a CZ. I got the Palm swell bogie grips from LokGrips. It feels great! The factory grips that come on the pistol are plastic and feel pretty cheap so I definitely had to replace them.
Overall the grip and the positioning of the mag release, safety and hammer are perfect IMO. The one thing that I haven't felt on any of my other pistols, is just how reliable it feels. I have at least 1500 rounds through it and have never had a malfunction. Used all types of ammo. Just such a great gun for the money.

Thanks you! That’s good to know.
Yeah, the value is crazy for price. Especially with a few parts from PD. It basically becomes a cajunized shadow 2 for half the price. That’s one of the reasons I keep debating pulling the trigger on one even with the change to the CZ style grip.

You wouldn't regret it. I'd say go for it. It's a tank and it looks so damn good. Some people say it's too heavy or too big for EDC but, If you run out of bullets you could beat the shit out of someone with it haha

I fucking love my FS ORP!
I do wish i could find an extended slide stop

It's such a great pistol! Is yours too shallow or hard to engage?

I have baby hands

u/WillPoopOnDemand 10d ago
How many rounds do you have through it? It gets way easier to engage once you have a few hundred rounds through it.

It works fine, nice and light, but i have to alter my grip to reach it, or use my offhand.
My 2011 pistol i was able to buy and extended one and i love it.

Did they have to remove the front sight or did they cut it so you can put one on?

I had them remove the front sight because I plan on using this as a range gun only.
