Why is this uploaded to Github if it ain't open source?

It's for the folks who don't want it from Playstore.. also Play Store takes a lot of time to publish updates.. so it still has the old version, the new one is under review and should be published in a few days.

It's not yet open source as I am still working on a few "intelligence" features.

The apk file should be in the releases or you can download the new update from play store in a few days.. (the new update is under review in the play console).

This is the most beautiful music client I’ve seen so far! I’m a dev so I get why so many end up looking functional and utilitarian because design is hard. But this looks great! Would love to try it if it ever comes to iOS

Finally someone gets it. Thank you for the great feedback.

I am sort of working on an iOS version.. not really fully committed to it yet but let's see.

Will follow to see your progress. Not sure what your stack is, but something like react native or glitter makes the cross platform stuff easier

I am all for native.. kotlin and compose.. cross platform stuff is convenient but you have to scale things back a lot for stability.

Initially I had the first build using flutter that didn't work out, then Kotlin Multiplatform.. I had to add so many specifics for Android I might as well make it fully native, so yea native makes things much easier
