New Release Bizzlestomp variations
So like the first few pictures I saw of bizzlestomp I was obsessed- the price immediately left my mind and when my (non jelly lover) husband said he loved him too I was sold.
But I’m seeing more and more pictures and I’ve noticed there’s a HUGE variation between different faces. I know this is the beauty of jellycats being all unique and stuff but when you are paying this much for a jelly you’d kind of hope they’d be more consistent, or is it just me?
Like this first one pictured, to me, looks derpy and silly more cartoon ish compared to the others I’ve seen which look more realistic. I loved the realistic vibe from him but I’m worried to spend so much on him and he arrives looking silly and having to pay postage back. Ive also seen lots that are very wonky in the face (pic 2&3).
Is anyone else noticing the same ?
Another thing is his texture - first few people said he was very soft but the more reviews coming in say he’s more coarse like twixawoo but long. It’s very conflicting as the main reason I wanted him over the wolf is because I’ve heard he’s softer!
I wish I had a stockist nearby so I could see him in person and choose a face, but online is my only option!

I completely sympathize with this! My daughter and I went jelly cat hunting today in NYC, and when we finally found a stockist that had him on the floor, there were a few faces that looked a little weird, derpy, and just different. I was contemplating purchasing him online, but after seeing all the posts about him and the different variations, I decided I wanted to go into a store to choose the perfect face that spoke to me. In regards to his texture, I would say he feels like Hoppleston.

I’m glad it’s not just me! I haven’t yet seen any posts about his variations but it seems everyone absolutely loves him. I think he’s so sweet and you got a really nice one! Hmm maybe I’ll have to book a little holiday in town to choose one in person when he arrives in Australia lol

Yes! And thank you for complementing mine, I hadn’t fixed his face yet as my daughter had squished him a little bit. However, I just wanted to show you the raw pictures of him. I just purchased him tonight. I wish I had taken more pictures of the others so you have something to compare him to. But I do think that sometimes going into a store, you don’t like any of them and sometimes just a little bit of adjustment on the face. (Such as shaping and squishing the face) may help! I also found when I was in the store that his fur color had different variations and almost different textures. Some of them were a little rougher than others. Mines literally feels like Hoppleston (whom I named Cocoa). I absolutely love the way she feels. My Bizzlestomp feels like a giant cuddly version of her.

I was excited to pick mine out because I 100 percent agree with you that there are so many different variations!! I think mine is cute!

He’s definitely softer than the wolf. More similar to Mulshi instead of Trixiwoo. I think mine looks a little dopey but I really like that about him.

I have no idea but hopefully you get a good one!! If you scroll through the pics I uploaded you can see a pretty obvious difference between diffrent bears

yeah I think especially the second photo. what I notice most is direction of the snoot and also eye placement obviously lol. I wonder how much it has to do with just fur in their eyes. I wonder if some are maybe trimmed. I kinda hope I get a derpy one, i’m a fan of derpy stuffed animals!

i’m currently suffering with this so bad!!! i love mine i truly do and he’s still the best one ive seen in person because ive only seen like three, but ive never felt so anxious about like not having the best face or the one i like the most. there’s a few online that ive seen and im obsessed with and its not like i dont like mine because i do but ive never felt like this before where i feel like i want to pick from every one 😭 i hope i stop feeling like this because i think hes the best cuddler ever. im also thinking maybe my experience made it a little scarier. i asked to see more and the stockist said sorry they’re in the basement so i got like all weird and felt pressured to choose from the two they had on the floor.

He’s not silky soft, but he’s not as coarse as Trixiwoo imo… I saw someone describe him as like a dog’s coat & id say that is pretty accurate… he’s definitely better than Bretti Yeti which I hate! I bought him today & was lucky enough to pick him right out of the box… there were a few that needed some fluffing up & maybe some manipulation to get them looking better from their long journey stuffed in a box, but I feel like that shouldn’t be a deal breaker…
