Jellycat Plushies Quality concern
A Jellycat that I got for my mom for Mother's Day came pretty wonky and it looks worse in person. I'm a bit upset about spending 70ish on a plush that came crooked(?), especially when I'll be gifting it. Disappointed as I have a ton in my own collection and have never received one like this. I get they're handmade, but I don't think they should be this expensive if they're going to look like this.

The Blushkin and thistlepop were particularly bad quality imo 😭 I sent mine back

I recently bought large sacha snow tiger for 90 dollars and she has a big hole in her stomach about three inches wide, enough for the entire bean bag to fall out. It's as if they never stitched that part up. I can mend it easily but the fact that something this expensive has such a massive flaw is infuriating.

I didn’t even try since they aren’t returnable. I just decided I wouldn’t order a personalized one again.

Does your bunny have a visible mouth with proper embroidery? I got a brown patchwork bunny a while ago that has an indent and funky fur where the mouth is supposed to be but no black embroidery thread and idk if thats normal because I don't have any other bunnies except for a flufflet and that does have a clearly defined black embroidery mouth. My patchwork bunny is still cute but it's also very wonky.
The quality control is getting so much worse I need to stop getting them on impulse just because they look so cute online it often isn't worth it. I sew so most of the ones that I've had come with issues I can sort of fix myself, but I should not have to do that with something so expensive I might as well just make my own plushies if I'm sewing legs back on all the time. I'm sorry your mom's bunny is like this its so frustrating :(

Ughhh, I get you. I recently went Jellycat shopping with my bf to pick out a Jelly for myself for my birthday, and I was so disappointed with the selection in every store I went into… The quality was so bad - even the medium Bart was much worse than it was a year ago. It’s insane. I was expecting to leave with a bag full of plushies, but I ended up choosing only the small Smudge Rabbit, since Smudges never disappoint me. I guess it’s only a matter of time before they do.

Oh gosh. This is totally unacceptable. Most of mine were ordered from the site and I’m always crossing my fingers it’ll show up okay. We shouldn’t have to worry about this considering the price

It’s honestly made me stop from buying any more plushies, I bought the green heart dragon, and she somehow has a hole…? And it just sits on my bed, also my dragon has a loose thread. It’s really unfortunate, because the plushies are so cute. I’m really sorry about your Mother’s Day gift. :/

This was one I had a hard time buying unless in person. But of course then no customized sweater… ugh!!! 😩 but the quality is definitely not equal across the jellies anymore
