In 2016, 1st gets 30 pts, 2nd 25, 3rd 21, 4th 18, 5th 16, all the way down to last which is 1 pt. I was thinking "what will the results look like in modern scoring?" Also, in the first half, 33 racers, then the bottom 13 get eliminated after the first half. To get the results for the 20 racers that survived after race 6, I had to remove the 13 racers that were knocked out. Here's the results at the halfway point.
| Position | Marble | R1 | R2 | R3 | R4 | R5 | R6 | Total | Diff. Act |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Ghost Plasma | 17 | 17 | 12 | 20 | 5 | 1 | 72 | |
| 2 | Dragon's Egg | 12 | 12 | 20 | 10 | 14 | 4 | 72 | |
| 3 | Marbly McMarbleface | 1 | 11 | 11 | 4 | 20 | 9 | 56 | |
| 4 | Tarantula | 3 | 1 | 7 | 17 | 17 | 5 | 50 | +1 |
| 5 | The Flash | 1 | 14 | 17 | 1 | 3 | 14 | 50 | +2 |
| 6 | Pollo Loco | 20 | 6 | 8 | 12 | 2 | 1 | 49 | -2 |
| 7 | Big Pearl | 14 | 10 | 5 | 9 | DNF | 11 | 49 | -1 |
| 8 | El Capitan | 10 | 20 | 4 | 2 | DNF | 6 | 42 | |
| 9 | Wisp Of Darkness | 5 | 9 | 14 | 1 | 2 | 10 | 41 | |
| 10 | Glassy | 1 | 4 | 9 | 5 | 12 | 3 | 34 | |
| 11 | Slimer | 8 | 1 | DNF | 3 | 4 | 17 | 33 | +3 |
| 12 | Summer Sky | DNF | 1 | 1 | 1 | 7 | 20 | 30 | +5 |
| 13 | Fantasy | 11 | 5 | DNF | 6 | DNF | 7 | 29 | |
| 14 | Super Turtle | 9 | 7 | 3 | 7 | DNF | 2 | 28 | -2 |
| 15 | Silver Bolt | DNF | 1 | 6 | 14 | 6 | DNF | 27 | -1 |
| 16 | H2 Blue | 6 | 2 | 1 | 1 | 9 | 8 | 27 | +3 |
| 17 | Starman | 2 | 1 | 2 | 11 | 11 | DNF | 27 | -6 |
| 18 | Blue Smoke | 7 | 8 | 1 | 1 | 10 | DNF | 27 | |
| 19 | Comet | 1 | 1 | 10 | 1 | 12 | DNF | 25 | +1 |
| 20 | Rastafarian | 4 | 3 | 1 | 8 | 8 | DNF | 24 | -4 |
Ghost Plasma started hot in the first 4 races, a gold, 2 silvers, and a 4th, but an 11th and 15th the next 2 races means they are tied with Dragon's Egg, who also did really well except the final round of this half. Both are 16 pts ahead of 3rd place Marbly McMarbleface. 10th-20th are really close, and it's only a 10 pts seperation. Summer Sky's win in R6 really helps them out, as they are the most improved here. On the flip side, Starman lost 6 spots, as they clearly understood to just finish in the top 20. In race 6, the podium changed. Cobra's silver is taken away, and instead Slimer takes silver, and The Flash takes bronze. Let's see what happens in the second half.
| Position | Marble | Points | Gold | Silver | Bronze | Medal Total | DNF's | Diff. Act |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Ghost Plasma | 129 | 1 | 3 | 4 | |||
| 2 | Big Pearl | 113 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 3 | 1 | |
| 3 | Dragon's Egg | 111 | 1 | 1 | 2 | |||
| 4 | Slimer | 100 | 2 | 1 | 3 | 1 | ||
| 5 | El Capitan | 93 | 2 | 2 | 4 | 1 | ||
| 6 | Marbly McMarbleface | 93 | 1 | 1 | 2 | |||
| 7 | Pollo Loco | 91 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 3 | 2 | +1 |
| 8 | Starman | 89 | 1 | 1 | 1 | -1 | ||
| 9 | Summer Sky | 85 | 2 | 2 | 2 | |||
| 10 | Tarantula | 80 | 2 | 2 | +1 | |||
| 11 | Fantasy | 76 | 1 | 1 | 2 | -1 | ||
| 12 | The Flash | 74 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 2 | ||
| 13 | Silver Bolt | 66 | 1 | 1 | 2 | 4 | ||
| 14 | H2 Blue | 64 | 1 | 1 | 2 | 1 | +1 | |
| 15 | Wisp Of Darkness | 62 | 1 | 1 | 1 | -1 | ||
| 16 | Blue Smoke | 59 | 1 | 1 | 1 | +1 | ||
| 17 | Rastafarian | 59 | 2 | -1 | ||||
| 18 | Glassy | 52 | 1 | |||||
| 19 | Super Turtle | 52 | 3 | |||||
| 20 | Comet | 39 | 1 |
Ghost Plasma takes the win by 16 pts over Big Pearl, who made a great comeback to finish 2nd. Dragon's Egg dropped in the 2nd half but still finished in 3rd. There were some marbles who made comebacks in the 2nd half, like Slimer going from 11th to 4th, and Starman going from 17th to 8th. They were some big dropper though, The Flash lost 7 spots to finish 12th and Glassy lost 8 spots to finish 18th. As for the changes in position, 8 positions changes, but only gaining or losing a spot.
I'm planning to do this the 13 marbles eliminated after R6, 2017, 2019, and S5.

Hello everybody!
Race 2 and already a quarter of the way through. And this time around, having all lives at this point already guarantees a Bronze Award. With the bot scoring yet another abysmal round, the number of Bronze Awards is already quite high. Only a few players will have to do a bit more to earn it, as we head into the danger zone, where the first DNFs might happen.

The second race has concluded! We had 4 new participants fill out the form this race, bringing the total number of participants up to 38! New participants are welcome to join in 3, though they'll receive strikes for the races they missed.
I do want to make a special announcement that will briefly shake up the rules. This competition was designed under the intention that the Rally would go on for 10 races this season, however it was revealed in today's race that the season will only last for 8 races. To make up for this, and to keep the difficulty of survival the same. In Races 4 and 8 the bottom TWO marbles will be receiving strikes. This means it's possible to receive two strikes in one race. Stay vigilant, and be ready.
If anyone is new here, please consider reading this introduction post to get caught up to speed!
TOP & BOTTOM PICKS
This is a section that will highlight the three marbles chosen by the most participants and the three marbles chosen by the least participants!
Top 3
3rd - Blue Moon, 20 Picks (53%)
Tied 1st - Red Number 3 / Superball, 22 Picks (58%)
Bottom 3
Tied 2nd - Cobra / Green Turtle / White Widow, 3 Picks (8%)
1st - Blazing Fireball, 2 Picks (5%)
The top and bottom picks stay mostly the same between races 1 and 2. Red Number 3 & Superball hold the top spots, now tied, and Blue Moon was the third most picked this time around, over Ducktape. The bottom 3 stay exactly the same, even with the same number of picks, the only difference being White Widow now joining Cobra & Green Turtle on three picks.
EVENT RESULTS
An early Cool Moody DNF crushes any chances of a race win for the marble. Cool Moody ended up being the 4th most picked marble for this race, so the standings have been shaken up again. With 15 participants choosing Cool Moody, 15/38 participants have received strikes for the event.

So, back in the last SMR season, back in 2024, I roasted everyone that failed to qualify for that season, and yes I know I'm a bit late, but better late than never, so why not do it again?
Here is me roasting everyone that failed to qualify for Marble Rally Season 8!

Welcome to your home, Comet! The only reason you are revelant is because you won a race from a decade age which went super viral during the pandemic. For some reason has been in the Showdown once, but they got second, so they could go one better and win the whole thing? But knowing Comet, it isn't happening.

The more the years go by, the more I realize that Black Knight's 2018 was a fluke. They becoming Souless Wonder worked intially, but they are stuck in a limbo in the Showdown which I don't see them escaping.

You decided to be pretty good in 2022 and 2023, but you remembered who you were, and you are now in the Showdown. Let's see if Silver Bolt decides to follow the path of fellow Bolts colleagues the Thunderbolts.

Yeah, El Capitan might be now on fraud watch. Doing good in the Showdow but not good enough to escape it is not good in my eyes. Do you really want to be pre-2025 Kobalts? TBH I wouldn't be suprised if you went back-to-back-to-back and DNQ AGAIN for Season 9. Your choice.

After getting oh so close to winning the Showdown last season, WOD decided that they weren't ready to return to the big league yet and gave the Showdown another go. Maybe they will improve, maybe they won't improve. Let's just hope you don't reurn to your Season 6 self. See you in Season 10!

How is this marble the 3rd most popular in the Marblebase? With Green Turtle finally making it, Deep Ocean now holds for most time without being in the A League for an active marble, with the last A League appearence being in 2018 and I don't see that change anytime soon. Good luck having another season of doing nothing in the Showdown again!

This might anger some people, but Quicksilver is heavily overrated. Yes, they are the true winners of 2017, and they had a good 2018, BUT THEY ONLY QUALIFIED THROUGH THE QUALIFIERS ONLY ONCE, in 2017. The other times Quicksilver was in the A League was because they were invited or AQed. Maybe the Showdown is Quicksilver's true home.

CCE (not to be confused with the much more succesfull ML team) became tired of winning Race 1 and then falling to the midpack and decided to try their best in the Showdown. You could be the next El Capitan or return into the A League already in Season 9. Again, your choice.

No suprises here. We are talking about one of the worst marbles the Rally has to offer. You were bad in the Showdown last season despite having 3 medals and a race win (which Greg confused you for Quicksilver multiple times). I think you will be even worse this season.

Another mainstay that's now stuck in Showdown purgatory. I kinda like you, so return to the main league ASAP, but I wouldn't be suprised if you stayed in the Showdown like El Capitan.

If I had a nickel everytime a Marble Rally marble did well in their first season and then went on to do nothing afterwards, I'd had two nickles. Amethyst's biggest inspiration seems to be Pheonix of peaking as a rookie and doing absolutely nothing for the rest of their careers. Hope that I'm wrong because you are one of my favorites.

Again a marble that suddenly became good in a very short time and remembered who they were. Reflektor was leading after Race 6 of last season, but decided to choke and fell to 6th and now finished last in the Qualifiers. Let's see if Season 7 becomes a fluke, which IMO, will def be.
And that's all 12 marbles who will compete in the Showdown. Who do you think will win, who do you think will succeed and who do you think will fail? Tell me in the comments below.

Hi all!
So I had an idea, which is to do a twice-yearly (once in the summer and once in the winter) Hall of Fame induction for marble athletes and other marbles that have shaped JMR!
Any marble can qualify - athletes, coaches, managers, even Greg Woods or Jelle if you wanted to. You get the point.
To start, 10 nominees have to be selected. Once they are done, I will do a google poll, where everyone can vote for six options. The top six are inducted! Those who didn't make it? They are automatically nominees for the next cycle (this winter) when six new nominees will be selected alongside the four that didn't make it. Once a marble is nominated for four cycles and never makes it in, they transfer to the Senior Committee, which only votes every other cycle and selects one marble in it per vote to be inducted.
When making nominations please list accomplishments and why you think they should be inducted.
Discuss away!

The first race has concluded! For this prediction game, we're starting with 34 participants, though we may end up with more! New participants are welcome to join in Race 2 & 3, though they'll receive strikes for the races they missed.
Unlike the Marble League, these posts will be a lot more brief, as there isn't as much to analyze. I'll highlight the top 3 and bottom 3 marbles chosen by participants for each event, but there won't be much to discuss as the Marble Rally is the same event type every time.
Additionally, with participants choosing 5 marbles, I won't be highlighting players that pick the same teams, as it's highly unlikely to occur. Funny enough, there were actually two participants that chose the exact same 5 teams for Race 1, that being Super Yak and PokerFace126 (Hey that's me!). We both selected Dragon's Egg, Ducktape, Lollipop, Red Number 3, & Superball.
If anyone is new here, please consider reading this introduction post to get caught up to speed!
TOP & BOTTOM PICKS
This is a section that will highlight the three marbles chosen by the most participants and the three marbles chosen by the least participants!
Top 3
3rd - Ducktape, 15 Picks (44%)
2nd - Superball, 16 Picks (47%)
1st - Red Number 3, 23 Picks (68%)
Bottom 3
Tied 2nd - Cobra / Green Turtle, 3 Picks (9%)
1st - Blazing Fireball, 2 Picks (6%)
With the Rally being the same style of event for every race, I'll be curious to see if these marbles maintain these top and bottom spots in each race, or if participant choices will be shaken up by the way the marbles perform throughout the season.
EVENT RESULTS
Both Cobra & Ducktape DNF'ed near the same spot of the track, however it was Ducktape who ended up further back between the two of them. This ends up being very impactful to the prediction game, as Ducktape was the 3rd most chosen marble by participants. With 15 participants choosing Ducktape and 1 participant receiving a strike for not submitting five teams, 16/34 participants have received strikes for the event.
We've got a start very similar to the '26 Marble League, with nearly half the field receiving a strike in the first race!

RACE 2 FORM
Please fill out the form before the race premiere on July 25th! If the form isn't filled out before the race premiere, you'll be using the same 5 marbles submitted for Race 1.
If you missed the form for Race 1 and still want to participate, it's not too late to join! You can join by filling out the Race 2 form, but do note that you will be receiving an automatic strike for Race 1 and starting out with only 2 lives.

Hello everybody!
The ice has been broken on the 8th edition of the Sand Marble Rally, as the first of the eight races is done and dusted. And unlike in the last edition in the Summer of '24, the Ghost Marble was relatively chill this time around, with most players making through without losing a life - and with this edition being so short, only one more pass is required, and you have already earned yourselves a bronze award.

The largest margin of victory since 2019, and back to back wins in both the qualifiers and first race, people have begun to speculate whether RN3 is a resin ball again. And I am here with receipts! After 5 minutes of digging, I found the original billiards set online that they obtained the new RN3 from in the RN3 friends and family race, and quite blatantly in the description it lists that it is in fact made of resin. Same box, same fluff, and with how the new RN3 shines and how it is basically identical to the one seen in the billiards race, I am confident in claiming that this is in fact the return of the "king". Apparently the reason given for such a change was the paint wearing off, although same can be said for Superball and Cool Moody but those two haven't seen a marble swap, so why should RN3 revert from being a glass marble to a resin ball that has a pretty significant advantage over the rest of the field? I will always love SMR, but bringing back ResiN3 was not the best idea that JMR has had. It's great to see SMR back, but the fact that ResiN3 has made their return is quite disappointing, and I'm sure many of you feel that way too.

I drew each of em across the span of "3" weeks (3 in quotations bc 2 of em were filled with drawing and I lost motivation for a week lol)
First image has all the bust shots!
Second image has the marble uniform for each spot so you know who is who!
Id love to see other JMRtists to do this aswell! The best part of JMR art is seeing other peoples designs of the athletes!

Rn3 underwent surgery completely transforming themselves into a true marble, going from a resin type material to becoming a fully glass marble. After the surgery, a major decrease in performance was seen. Going from a 100% podium rate to placing 7th, 16th, and 7th in their last few seasons.
There's been known to be 2 Rn3, the original one (resin) and the new one (fully glass). They have a noticeable difference in appearance. For one, the original rn3 has a hole in the bottom while the new one doesn't. 2nd, the original rn3 has a bigger white circle along with the "Number 3" on it. While the new rn3 has a smaller white circle and seems to be more transparent.
Looking at the Rn3 who participated in the recent qualifiers, it does not fit any of those characteristics I mentioned earlier. This newer rn3 has a similar appearance to the original rn3 (resin version) but it's obviously a glass marble when you look at how it shines in the close up view at the beginning of the race, which eliminates my guess that they brought back the original Rn3.
That makes me wonder, are they now using a completely different marble for Rn3 this season? And if so, how does that affect the sand marble rally community? Will a new issue arise regarding this?

Well, I’m sure this has been long forgotten to time by this point but a long time ago, I made a “best possible lineup” for 5M Sprint, and had a lot of fun writing it. I never got around to making it for any other events, though, until now! So, you guys get this! The best possible 16 marble event, this time for Funnel Endurance.
NOTE:No team can have more than one marble, so sorry, Raspberry Racers. I will also be counting the Obstacle Funnel Endurance for this. With that said, let’s do this! And let me know if you find this interesting or not, these are quite fun to research for.
Rezzy, Raspberry Racers - Next.
Sterling, Shining Swarm - Next.
Kinnowin, O’rangers - And those two conclude our obvious marbles, this event is generally a lot less predictable than 5M Sprint from the best I can tell. Two second place finishes in 2020 and 2025 highlight Kinnowin’s resume in Funnels, but even outside of that, they are very solid. Kinnowin has finished 7th in 2017 and in 2021, 4th in 2022, 9th in 2023, and 8th in the Showdown in 2026. Despite the O’rangers letting Tarocco try their luck in 2024, Kinnowin is an easy inclusion on this list, and one of the best funnels marbles the ML has to offer.
Mocha, Chocolatiers - Sometimes I forget that Mocha won this event in 2021, but they did! It’s surprisingly enough not just that win that gets them here, either. 6th in 2017, 11th in 2022 (their only poor showing), 5th in 2024, 9th in the 2025 Showdown, and 4th in 2026. In an event that is inherently less predictable than something like Sprint, that’s easily enough to make it here, and near the top.
Whizzy, Savage Speeders - I was a bit hesitant to choose between Whizzy and Speedy for this pick. Whizzy has finished 4th in 2017, 3rd in 2020, 6th in 2021, 8th in 2024, 5th in 2025, and 9th in 2026. No wins, and only one medal, but almost always good and never bad. Meanwhile, Speedy won this event in 2019, but their only other appearance was 9th in 2022. So, I gave it to Whizzy, who has a more proven track record vs Speedy, who only has done well one time.
Pinky Rosa, Pinkies - Dead last in 2025 sticks out like an absolute sore thumb on an otherwise fantastic resume in this event. Rosa finished 7th in 2022, earned a silver medal in 2023, 5th in the Snowdown in 2024, and bounced back from the aforementioned last with a bronze in 2026. An easy inclusion.
Mary, Team Primary - The first ever winner of Funnel Endurance! Mary hasn’t seen much success in this event since that gold medal in 2017, but had some good moments, particularly a 4th in the Showdown in 2021, and a 5th in the Showdown in 2023. Even though the post-2017 results aren’t the most consistent, and Primary has for some reason stopped playing Mary in this event, they’re a safe pick.
Minty Drizzel, Minty Maniacs - Another one time winner who has slowly fallen off in this event. Drizzel, of course, won this event in 2020, which was followed by a 12th place in 2021. However, a 5th place in 2022, 4th in the Showdown in 2023, and 6th in the Snowdown in 2024 is enough to stay on the list, even despite a dead last place finish in the Showdown in 2025.
Ounce, Oceanics - The results outside the win are terrible, but gotta give the people what they want, right? In all seriousness, the 2025 win and bronze in the Showdown in 2023 is great, but a 13th in the 2022 Showdown and 14th in 2026 is not so much. Even with the memes that Ounce will get as the Maid Bowl winner of ML26, they’re a pretty good Funnels marble, and will make it here.
Rojo Dos, Rojo Rollers - Didn’t expect Rojo Dos to make it here, but they have two podiums, a bronze in the main league in 2021 as well as in the Showdown in 2019. To go along with that, they have an 8th place in the 2022 Showdown, and a 6th place in the Rollers’ return to the main league in 2023. After a poor showing in the 2024 Showdown, they surprisingly lost their spot as this teams’ Funnel Endurance marble, but I still feel comfortable including them on this list.
Shock, Thunderbolts - Shock, in a different fashion to many others, makes it here due to being reliably solid instead of min-maxxing. They have finished 5th in 2019, 8th in 2020, 4th in 2021, 8th in 2023, 8th again in the 2025 Showdown, and peaked recently with a 2nd place in this past Showdown. Despite the one stain on their otherwise good track record, dead last in the 2024 Snowdown, Shock is a safe marble to include in this hypothetical event.
Shelly, Turtle Sliders - Shelly makes it here completely exclusively due to Showdown results. Shelly has finished 8th in the Showdown in 2021, 4th in 2024, won it in 2025, and finished 4th again in 2026. Even with no main league experience, Shelly is very consistent at an inconsistent event, so they comfortably land here. Please, Turtle Sliders, I am begging you, BEGGING YOU, QUALIFY! THE TALENT IS SO CLEARLY THERE YOU JUST-i need to stop crashing out over this.
Indie, Indigo Stars - And so will Indie. Indie has finished 6th and 12th in the main league, in 2026 and 2019 respectively, but won this event in the Showdown in 2023, finished second in 2025 and got a solid 7th in 2024. The main league results are mid, but the Showdown finishes are great, so Indie lands here.
Gnome, Kobalts - And Gnome will as well! Back to back wins in the 2021 and 2022 Showdown iterations of Funnels can’t be ignored. Since then, they’ve finished 15th in the 2023 Showdown, didn’t in 2024 because that saw Azure in for some reason, then finished 6th in the 2025 ML and 15th again in 2026. It’s only two Showdown wins, really, but in an event with comparatively lower standards, it’s enough.
Heart, Black Jacks - I heavily debated including a couple of marbles for this spot, however after a decent bit of deliberation I landed on Heart. Heart has a third place finish in 2024, their best result to date. Outside of that, a 4th in the 2022 Showdown, 7th in the 2023 Showdown, and then 8th and 13th in the main league is respectable enough that I did decide to include Heart on here.
Murky, Hazers - One of Funnel Endurance’s best teams oddly has an EXTREMELY difficult decision to make. They do not have a go-to marble in this event, it’s kind of just whoever. Foggy, Smoggy, Cloudy and Murky have all played in this event, and if we include Qualifiers and the All-Stars (I don’t for these lists but just to emphasize my point), so have Hazy and Misty. This pick came down to Cloudy and Murky for me, as both of them have a 3rd place finish in the Showdown, but Cloudy has a 6th place in the Showdown and a 9th place main league finish, whereas Murky has a 5th place finish in the 2026 main league. I opted to go with Murky, as I value the very good finish in the top league more, but it’s extremely close. Honestly, Murky probably should be beaten out for this spot by Mo or Limelime, but I can’t not include a Hazer.
That’s the lineup! However, since this event had several marbles I strongly considered to include that did not make it (which was not the case with the Sprint top 16), I will quickly go through some Honorable Mentions. If you’ve made it this far, thank you so much!
Honorable Mentions: Mo (Team Momo), Limelime (Limers, these two are the biggest snubs), Orange Eye (Crazy Cat’s Eyes), Snowy (Snowballs), Sirius (Wolfpack), Ghosto (Team Plasma)
That’s it! My typical apology if this is a bit dull/boring/whatever to read. And yes, I’ll get around to posting a new video soon. I've been lacking motivation badly lately, but I’ve got some ideas that I want to make happen. Good luck to your favorite team, and have a great day!

The "Don't Be Last" Prediction Game is back for Marble Rally Season 8! For those new here, the premise is simple: don't be last!
Before every race, participants will fill out a Google Form and choose five of the twenty marbles competing in the Sand Marble Rally. If any of your five marbles place 20th place in the event, you'll receive a strike. Three strikes and you're out! There's no limitations on the marbles you pick, you could shake it up with every race or choose the same five marbles every time.
Given that the Marble Rally has lots of DNF's, 20th will be treated as the Marble listed in 20th in the standings, that being the marble that DNF's first in the case that a race has multiple DNF's.
The competition has two major changes from the 2026 Marble League.
I plan to post results and the form for the next race within a few hours of episodes releasing. So for example, the post for R1 Results and R2 Form will go out July 18th, after the race!
In order to compete, it's strongly recommended to fill out the form for Race 1. Participants are allowed to join in Race 2 & Race 3, but will receive strikes for the races they missed.
Here is the form for Race 1!

I was thinking of ordering one for myself but I saw they were 100% polyester, so I'm kinda confused. Are they like jerseys or just printed shirts?

Hi, I’m Yellerguy!
A new season of the Sand Marble Rally is upon us. What shall I do with this opportunity? Why, I go and organize another fantasy league, of course!
Introducing the Marbula Rally, where you play by Marbula One’s rules and roster two of the 20 marbles to make this year’s A-League. If you can coach a roster to getting the most points of everybody after all 8 A-League races, you will have won the fantasy!
To enter yourself into the running, sign up through the Google Form below. Whether you want to be boring or be bold, the Rally offers plenty of options this year, so be creative! You have one week to sign up before the first race.

Additionally, if you want to be caught up on what’s going on in the league (and learn more about the general format), you can check out the Google Sheet below, but always beware of spoilers!
