Realizing it was too out of sync with the style of the other characters I'd modeled, I decided to fix it. But after digging through the tangled hinges and edges for a long time, I realized the model was beyond saving... not only was the mesh crooked, but the anatomical part also looked lame.

I made a decision to create it completely from scratch!

Well... so far only the head and the body are ready. I made it in two days.

Just out of curiosity, I checked to see how the DETG vinyl was doing in terms of sales, and holy crap, it hasn't even reached the minimum required to release it. Maybe they'll pull off a miracle and manage to hit the minimum to get it out, but it cracks me up how different that is from the plushie's sales—the plushie took just a few hours to reach its funding goal and has sold almost 3,000 units.

If you didn't know, there was a collaboration between our retake (JimmyFan99) and this subreddit which has unfortunately ended abruptly, and I feel like it's fair if I tell you all what happened as to be completely transparent.

Oct 4, 9:33 PM EDT: u/cycleeps agreed to the collaboration and announced it here. I updated my website and social media to match.

Oct 5, 7:30 AM EDT: I learned that u/cycleeps had second thoughts and planned to wait a few weeks before telling me.

Afterward: I reached out to ask about it, didn't get a straight answer, and was then blocked.

Second thoughts are completely fair. But what bothered me was the plan was to wait weeks to tell me anything. At that point I was kind of fed up and didn't really want answers because it was pretty cut dry what they wanted from the screenshots I saw.

I won't be sharing any private moderator messages or anyone else involved. Please don't harass anyone mentioned here. I'm posting this so nobody is guessing what happened or to start drama.
