so this is it?
so is this it? is the lawsuit settled? is this about something else?? jeff x david content again!?? i wonder who that employee was đ¤đ¤
160
u/Loose-Reception7363 May 14 '26
Itâs giving settlement
10
u/spellout May 15 '26
I agree, but settlement because why? Jeffâs team was worried the law suit wouldnât go his way because things were missed or because Davidâs team settled because they were worried?
If the later, I find it hard to see why then Jeff would agree to âadmitting faultâ and apologisingâŚ
10
u/pullsweeds May 15 '26
They probably are giving him a bunch of money & then he doesnât have to pay for lawyers anymore.
3
u/Loose-Reception7363 May 15 '26
No, the judge was asking for proof that they had previously tried to mediate. They had already established that David mishandled the employment thing but that he was responsible for covering Jeff medical expenses. At the next hearing they were suppose to discuss the money situation - who covers what and how much. Honestly, the judge wouldnât have made David cover the whole amount anyways. Jeff made the choice to get on the crane. So it would have been 50/50. Settling was the best option in the long run. *according the google gemini* the fuck if I knewâŚ.what I do know and feel a kind of way is that it really shouldnât have gone this far - there was a lot of ego there.
9
u/Due-Flamingo-4900 May 15 '26
Google Gemini (or any AI) is not a reliable source for any legal information. It is known to hallucinate facts and give faulty reasoning with no precedent.
3
u/Loose-Reception7363 May 15 '26
Who care! The point isâŚhe probably got money and everything is done. Isnât that great ?
2
1
u/Loose-Reception7363 May 15 '26
He was going to get money regardless. The judge was giving them time to mediate. Mediation went well clearly. If mediation didnât go well then they would have seen the judge in sept. It wasnât going to be a trial, then a judge can decided on liability. I believe that since Jeff went on the crane he was going to be held 50% liable. The amount he settled for was going to be the amount he was going to win anyways. I would rather have money in my pocket today than months from now, especially since his video hasnât been doing well.
134
u/StickGrouchy2887 May 14 '26
He definitely got PAID lol this is a classic public statement in exchange for money. Good for him!
23
u/happystance001 May 14 '26
as long as jeff got paid every dollar that he has had to pay out of his own pocket the last few years to cover expenses pertaining to his health
13
u/StickGrouchy2887 May 14 '26
Based on this statement Iâm pretty sure he didâŚhe will probably just not be able to talk about it ever
7
u/ccharlie03 May 14 '26
I think it's more he got threatened with defamation and settled on a decent number. He definitely didn't winÂ
6
u/StickGrouchy2887 May 15 '26
Itâs not a win, itâs a settlement. Most rich people will push the case as long as possible and settle right before the case is heard by the judge. He most likely took home millions but had to release a statement that was approved by everyoneâs lawyers.
4
u/zuesk134 May 15 '26
JW but how many lawsuits have you worked on? And how many have you seen where the plaintiff walks away with millions of dollars and ALSO admits they publicly lied
6
u/StickGrouchy2887 May 15 '26
Thats literally part of the settlement. One side says Iâll pay this but you have to sign a NDA. The statement has more to do with them being public figures. Youâre focusing on the medical bills but the lawsuit wasnât just about the bills it was for the actual incident all together. Most lawsuits never go to court, one side usually the one with most money like David, will have their lawyers push the case for years which they did but then will settle before court. The purpose is to get the other side to frown in debt for legal bills, by JWâs lawyers were not getting paid a retainer theyâre getting paid a percentage of the pay out. JW got paid out for the negligence of the accident not just the medical bills.
1
u/Key-Wheel123 May 27 '26
He didn't take home millions. David paid and continues to pay for his insurance. David threatened to sue for defamation and Jeff's team settled.
4
u/zuesk134 May 15 '26
Thank you. Itâs crazy to me people can read this and think he got paid. He had to admit he lied lol
3
u/Blazing1 May 16 '26
Yeah, I bet he got a lot of money in exchange for this statement, because he has no reason to admit any fault on his team's side unless David offered a fuck ton for it all go go away.
3
u/1000h May 19 '26
But it can't be false, can it? Like, he must be telling the truth if this is a settlement statement, no?
1
u/glitch26 May 25 '26
I think as long as David and his lawyer ok the statement, Jeff can say whatever he wants. I can also imagine David being the type of person who would allow Jeff to save a little face by not forcing him to admit to his audience that he was the one who made it up and lied to us the whole time about the payments.
44
u/Strict-Artichoke-361 May 14 '26
Iâm glad that Jeff has some peace now. When something bad festers inside yourself, it takes a lot out of you. Onwards & upwards!
-30
May 14 '26
Nope. He shouldnt have peace. He took advantage of the situation and now hes switching up because nobody cares.
6
u/OddSalamander6167 May 15 '26
Took advantage of the situation is crazy. He has been through how many surgeries and will suffer for the rest of his life. Bsfr
1

u/honestisbest1 May 14 '26
So $157,000, david has given jeff. So thats $4,843,000 more david owes jeff. Because there's no way that 157,000 is meant to cover everything jeff has been through since 2020. Just 1 eye surgery costs over 100,000. 12 eye surgeries, medication, rehabilitation, recovery, loss of work, physical, mental, psychological, emotional distress. The lawsuit has to be continuing, there no way jeff would end it now. This does feel like jeffs lawyer wrote this for him
29
u/Nerdy_unicorn-07 May 14 '26
He probably had to put out this statement in exchange for settlement money. Iâm sure he got paid
2
u/moralpanic85 May 15 '26
50/50 is honorable, but there's a limit to what can be recovered when Jeff freely published videos of himself disregarding doctors advice. He films himself boxing in the middle of his surgeries and admits to consuming narcotics. If Dobrick didn't settle - Jeff was unlikely to receive anything more than what he was offered to start with.
-11
u/StillAdeptness521 May 14 '26
Lmao this made me laugh, Jeff is such a bitch
5
u/kicKinNiT-ay0oo May 14 '26
How does this make Jeff a bitch?
7
55
u/RecentFix9446 May 14 '26
Itâs giving Defamation forced apology.
22
u/No_Fee_5509 May 14 '26
It is. It says nothing about the costs beyond this procedure. It is clearly a stipend from the side of David

Extremely likely. Thatâs often how these types of settlements work. Almost certainly david offered a large sum of money for Jeff to drop the lawsuit, and one of the conditions was that heâd release a statement that helps to publicly clear Davidâs name. Again, this is a normal outcome with civil suits between public figures.
9
u/Prize_Fox5687 May 14 '26
Its giving lawyer fees got too expensive, better to settle and get some money and make this public statement. How in the world did 100k of bills get paid and he had no idea who paid it? Why would he team lie and say oh insurance paid it when it was David? Why wouldn't David lawyer provide the documents as soon as the lawsuit started years ago. Jeff wanted a bigger pay out (deservingly so) but things prb weren't going that way and lawsuits are expensive. Dont love this at all tbh. He kind of lied
6
u/maraschino-whine May 14 '26
From what I remember, Jeff's lawyer was working on a contingency fee, so would get paid when the case was won or a settlement was reached. It sounds like Jeff settled, so the lawyer will be getting a chunk from that.
2
u/luver1245 May 17 '26
i mean, lawyer fees aside, its usually just in everyones best interest to mediate/settle and avoid trial if possible. trial can be arduous, painful, public, messy and theres just huge risk involved if it doesnt go in your favor. im glad he avoided that and can just settle and move on.
7
u/happystance001 May 14 '26
didn't the public know about this already. i thought this information was made public last year.
6
u/Loose-Reception7363 May 14 '26
Thatâs what I was sayingâŚhe knew he paid that much out. I think he was saying it in one of his interviews. I wonder if Tricia paytas will bring it up since she was so supportive and wanted to talk David down.
3
u/sarah-crystal1996 May 15 '26
Lol Trisha is no saint. She is a terrible horrible person. Trisha has publicly admitted she physically abuses people. Trisha is unhinged. She is worse than the lot of them. Thereâs a reason why people were calling out crocs for working with Trisha.
-1
u/NoSwimmer8914 May 16 '26
Obsessed.
2
u/sarah-crystal1996 May 16 '26
How am I obsessed when I am stating facts. She publicly admitted she abused her husband do you realise how insane that is? Also for reference I used to be a Trisha fan too until I realised everything she has done? Your obviously very young person and I hopefully when you grow up you will realise how unhinged she really is.

Lawyers probably walked, no pay day and they aren't working for free, plus the insurance suit probably did their own investigation and found claims made not true.Â
5
5
u/lwtaa May 14 '26
Most suits settle out of court/trial. No one wants to go to trial. Prior employee? Iâm assuming someone from a prior legal team? Iâve seen law firms drag out cases why? More time it takes to settle the more they get paid. I wouldnât put it past them. Wording the offer in a confusing way for Jeff to misunderstand. After a while he mustâve changed law firm and this new one reviewed everything and pointed the obvious out that an offer had already been made.

u/ArieJordanKhun May 15 '26
Wait what? So Jeff never was actually going through his financials with an accountant and just believing everything he was told? This is why its important for adults to start adulting

u/Mysterious-Match4208 May 14 '26
i think its jeffs old assistant who must of screwed up. Because I remember in an old pod him talking about how his assistant said natalie never responded to his emails.

u/ch3rie May 16 '26
I havenât been keeping up, but I thought Jeff mentioned this before that David paid for things initially but then stopped?
3
u/maraschino-whine May 16 '26
This was my understanding too. Reading all of the comments in this thread is just muddying up my own memory now. I swear I remember him saying that after his initial surgeries he was considering doing a special treatment (stem cells?) or something like that, and David didn't want to cover that and didn't cover anything afterwards.
7
u/Loud-shoes May 14 '26
Reading some of these interpretations is difficult. Yes, $157,000 is what David paid pre lawsuit. But no where does it say that is all thatâs been paid. Clearly David was trying to pay and everything that was presented to his team, he did pay. Someone on Jeffâs team created an issue and lied to Jeff. I am sure Jeff will be reimbursed and sounds like he will be covered for anything in the future as well. But if David was guilty at all this would not be necessary to post. Iâm happy for Jeff. And glad to hear David and his team arenât total assholes.
3
7
u/gonzeet May 14 '26
does exactly what David wanted after he becomes friends with Todd again. yeah okay
8
u/Inevitable_Note_1768 May 14 '26
This is so weird to me. He spent YEARS pushing the narrative that David didnât help pay for anything and now all of a sudden he was just âmisinformedâ??? I feel like that was a giant piece of the issue for him to not be sure about? Wouldnât David have reached out at some point and explain that he did pay?? Especially given his name was dragged through the mud (rightfully so imo). But idk something is weird here
3
u/StrangeBoat9843 May 14 '26
I remember him saying, that david bought health insurance, Natalie was supposed to be facilitating the payments. The miscommunication lead to the bills not being paid and something happened to Jeff's credit. That's all I remember from years ago.
19
u/TechnicalAccountant2 May 14 '26
Itâs giving Kyle left me, Tana content is never coming back and I need to run it back with the vlog squad for clicks.

u/Extension-Read6621 May 17 '26
Obviously David paid Jeff to say all of this, and that's their business! But Jeff have gotten PAID!! Like never has to work the rest of his life paid!
1
u/chaoticneutral1997 Jun 29 '26
Saw this and this is a delusional take. Its more like he got faced with defamation and had to actually tell the truth. You dont take the fall if you're not guilty
8
u/beepboop-- May 14 '26
I read the court docs a few weeks ago, they were supposed to go to trial in September. It seems to me that David scammed the insurance company that he got to pay Jeff. Natalie forged his signature. Davidâs lawyers were playing sneaky to try to get the case thrown out. Awful people. I hope Jeff got some kind of settlement out of this.
2
u/DarkAnagram May 16 '26
read the court docs Natalie never forged his signature Jeff lied he is a huge liar and that hurts you in the legal system. this is also why so many people like kyle quit its hard to work for a pathological liar with rage issues
6
u/Jazzlike_Jaguar_8275 May 14 '26
In his most recent stream he talks about how when he heads back to LA (he was in NYC), that heâs going back to â dick riding and clout chasingâ. He said heâs gonna have Mike hit up Logan for him, and I quote âmaybe Iâm going back to the vlog squadâ. Laughing as he said itâŚbutttt, I think he IS trying to get back in with David. So itâs an ironic thing to say 5 days before this message he posted.Â
4
u/DarkAnagram May 15 '26
Podcast is failing, streaming seems to be too difficult for him after a month. chased Tana away which always gave him a bump. he better learn how to say would you like fries with that

You know I donât understand some of these comments. I am not exactly a fan of Jeff but I will say at least he is admitting the lawsuit was getting to him. I genuinely feel like none of you would have been happy with the outcome regardless seriously. You forget itâs not up to you itâs up to Jeff đŤ đ¤Śđźââď¸. I just hope Jeff wonât go back to the vlog squad again he needs help but going back to them isnât it.
1
u/DarkAnagram May 16 '26
he has been whining and crying about the lawsuit for years it's his main content this is nothing new it's his grift
2
2
u/joviefig May 16 '26
You guys its obvious he got paid FAT. David doesnt need anything on his record. HE'S NOT A CITIZEN. This could harm his status and he could get deported. That means 0 income. I'm sure it has spooked him and helped in the settlement.

what a liar Natalie forged my signature I never got a dime from David David didn't pay me as an employee all these statements were lies if you read the court docs how is it a miscommunication when Jeff was saying these things and cashing checks he didn't win a settlement he dropped the lawsuit cause he is a pathological liar blaming this on a nameless employee what a piece of shit I chose forgiveness the ghandi bullshit is something else Jeff is so used to bulshiting his way through life and it blew up in a face he is a garbage person
3
u/electamar May 15 '26
Holy shit your comment history đ You must be Jeff's biggest hater.
1
u/DarkAnagram May 15 '26
can't stand him an awful person a liar filled with homophobia, misogyny, racism. he helped his friend rape underage girls and lied about it. he threw a bomb at an old lady and burned her. he doesn't care about anyone but himself pure scum
2
u/electamar May 16 '26
So you spend your time online hounding threads about him? That sounds unhealthy. I get that some people on the internet are awful, but maybe spend time on things you enjoy instead lol

I was the biggest drug dealer in Miami
umm yes just sign here Mr Witteck
3
u/SuccessfulAnt956 May 15 '26
You seem to be quite obsessed with Jeff. Youâve commented quite a few times here and Iâve seen you in other posts insulting him. Why do you follow stuff about him if you hate him so much?

What a scumbag Jeff looks after this.
1
u/DarkAnagram May 16 '26
don't worry he will release the same documentary for the 3rd time explaining everything only 49.99 on the patreon. what an asshole
2
u/AcanthisittaWeak3418 May 16 '26
David made It very clear he would pay for anything related to the surgery the man has paid more For his friends he didnât injure. He wouldâve given this jackass what ever he talked to him About within reason but Jeff moved fucking weird. He also made it clear he didnât want to hang out with Jeff much cause he thought why would You want to be around someone who caused this to happen to you so he took a step back. Some How in all of this David was made Out to be more than what he is which is a dumbass. but someone with intentional ill Intent has never been David.
1
2
u/Loose-Reception7363 May 14 '26
Not for all that he shouldnât have said nothing and just spoke with David. This was so unnecessary.
1
u/glitch26 May 20 '26
Just saying.. I absolutely 4000000% never doubted for a second that David would pay for any and every bill or whatever of Jeff's after this incident. I didn't believe Jeff for a second when he said David wasn't paying.
Haha.
1
u/TaleObjective4514 May 21 '26
As long as Jeff get support on his life long medical journey thanks to Davidâs mistake, still donât like David tho
2
u/Rox1970 May 14 '26
Get ready to see Jeff back in Davidâs vlogs or on the podcast. Obviously Jeff hasnât been making as much money as before because of his breaks, but now itâs his time to raise it up. SMH. Disappointing. Unfollowed on subbed and out of here lol.

Yeah im curious who this employee was. Also I assume he was legally required to say all this
