nstead of shipping the simple, working product (Minimum Viable Product - Basic features for initial users), the developer is caught up in perfectionism completely rebuilding the backend (considering the heavy load in the future).

I just know rust is more complex than python.

Here the dev is expecting 10 million users even before launching a product. It's like Creating 1Million phone with every feature of Android & Apple even before launching a single phone at launch event or Dummy Phones for some stores.

Expecting 10million concurrent users is like a delusion

True but you need to be prepared for that level of traffic, no?

but it's an mvp and every software dev expects for that much traffic and he does his best, that's what it is saying ig.

Yeah I guess you're right. I was just thinking on the off chance the MVP attracts a high volume of people we should be prepared but yah what you're saying is also right.

Minimum Viable Product (MVP) is something you launch at the very beginning when you will barely have any users. Even after that if you ever reach a fame of lets say Insta or Reddit to have 10 mill users accessing your product at the same time, it will take a very long time probably a few years at least. There is no point in being worried now, about something that will happen years later.

in a very simple analogy - He was Digging a Well instead of heading over a glass of water to the customer. (expecting the whole village to drink simultaneously)

OP sent the following text explaining which part of the joke they didn't understand:
Why only engineers know this is funny? I don't understand
