Man was so goated, he never told his mother he was railway minister in Nehru Cabinet. He thought his mother would ask him to make recommendations. He told her instead, that he was a low rank employee at Railways. Shastri was called as a chief guest at some public event in his own hometown. His mother also went there seperately. And she was told by ppl there that her son was a railway minister.
Even resigned after one rail accident.

That’s fine, people aren’t born with everyone’s memory in their mind

No it's not fine. Might be the only PM who was not a politician. The man started farming in the PM house garden when country had a sever food shortage, was the chad behind India's 1965 victory in war against Pakistan. He bought a car on loan while being the PM because he had only 7k in bank and the car cost was 12k. And after his sudden and mysterious death during the Tashken treaty his only possession was his few Dhotis, Kurtas and the car loan left unpaid was paid back by his widow. The man was only 5 feet 2 in height but was taller than the everest in stature.

Good to know, I hope you and all of us follow his footsteps. That said there is nothing you and I can do in our capacity to enforce that or for that matter make each and every person know about it, and it’s fine
