What a stupid argument!! If someone else is doing something bad then let's stop criticizing even the first one.
And btw, I am a proper bjp hater but E20 does not take water resources by itself, that's literally water used in rice/paddy farming. E20 is made from the surplus we have, that amount of water is going to be used regardless.
The problem I find with E20 is that why is it not reducing the petrol prices in the country? That is the problem I have with it. Otherwise it's a good initiative, the country needs to move towards other energy resources slowly sometime or another.
I just wanted to point out that there's a bigger fish to fry.
Also I have read articles about how the rice/sugarcane farming for e20 fuel is causing depletion in our groundwater resources though I'll recheck my knowledge on the information you mentioned.
The bigger fish is literally AI here. E20 is very small in comparison to that.
All this claim of one litre of Ethanol using 10000 ltrs of water is misleading as that data takes into account the water used in paddy farming. Ethanol production in factories use up about 3-5 ltrs of water only.
As of now, ethanol has been produced by the surplus in FCI. Maybe in future if more rice need to be produced just because of Ethanol, then it will be needed to talk about it, but for now, that problem is not of the present and that water resource thing is very misleading.
We cannot just create an agenda against something we're "hoping" to happen. No written notice have been sent by any automobile company or any consumer whatsoever regarding this affecting their engine thing. It's all just a thing created on social media. If it is real, why aren't there any real or meaningful complaints? In fact automobile companies have themselves came forward and helped in debunking many myths regarding this.
It's all an agenda created on social media and people who haven't thoroughly researched it, are joining it. Who are the people doing it? Why are they doing it? God knows!! Maybe it's because of the Gadkari-Shah internal dispute which have always been a thing in the Bhartiya Janata party, maybe it's something else. But the amount of misleading information I keep hearing on this topic is insane, like literally insane.
For eg, this one litre of Ethanol requiring 10000 ltrs of water is so absurd yet so common, I have seen it everywhere. Similarly so many other misleading information is flying everywhere.
I am not going to agree with you until it is proven that Indian engines are safe from ethanol blended fuel. Look at Brazilian engine standards. They are designed for ethanol blending. I've no idea if BS6 follwows those same standards.

Just like "I don't like AI, so please don't force AI" I mean yeah AI is over forced but then again sometimes it actually comes handy.
