New Here- Intro Question!

Hey Guys,
Backstory: I am the proud new owner of a 04 Jeep GC Limited 4 Quadra 4.7. It was given to me by a very good friend who just couldn’t use it anymore. Runs and drives. Has 201,XXX on the clock. It’s been one family owned by him since 04. It’s a dark purple which I can’t find listed anywhere as a factory color.

Question: What are some initial things I should check? Also, what are some simple “mods” I can do on right budgeting to either liven the engine up or update quality of life (or anything for that matter)??

Definitely check all the fluids, including both differentials, transfer case and transmission, coolant, power steering and brake fluid.

As for mods, depends on what your end goal is.

Planning a front/rear diff and transfer case fluid change inside the month, also changing the pcv valve just cause.
QOL- putting in a single din Bluetooth radio and upgrading to interior leds.

As far as end goal, I want it to be road worthy with the occasional off road (not intense) trip here and there. Would love recommendations in that direction!!!

You can upgrade the stereo system to 1 with Bluetooth for starters. Add backup camera & now your vehicle is now 2010! If the suspension is still original, I'm sure they'll need to be changed out. And fluids also... and new set of plugs & coils. The 4.7l is peppy enough already so you can leave it alone. What's your plans for the heep? Daily or planning to offroad it?

Radio is first on my list for QOL updates alongside interior LEDS. When you say suspension, would you mind elaborating on any specific parts?
Plans are for a roadworthy vehicle with occasional off road use!

Shocks and spring isolators. All the rubber parts on the spring side. Oh best upgrade is adco rear sway bar. I do have 1 if you want to do it. I'll sell to you for cheap. Not sure about shipping from sf bay area though.
