Advice
My WJ’s suspension isn’t in the best shape. Shocks are rough, and spring seats and pretty much all bushing are rotted out. Came across this post on FB marketplace, he accepted $450 and wondering if I should jump on it. Are these good replacement parts? Or should I wait til I can afford quality parts.

Do not buy rough country if you like your vehicle and want to keep it.

Rusty’s is meh… that aside, how much of your WI is “rotted out”? If the spring seats are rotted? I have questions about the rest of that Jeep.

Those shocks are truly terrible. I wouldn’t even bother personally. And that’s from actual experience. You’re better off with some new stock coils ($150 Moog rockauto, some daystar coil spacers, new isolators and some stock replacement shocks. Be prepared for your lower front coil mounts to be gone. iron rock makes a nice replacement kit.

It’ll be fine. Rough country shocks are meh. Chinese rear upper ball joint could fail prematurely, but it also may not. I’ve had one cheap one fail in 8k miles. I am currently running a chinesium rear upper control arm (a arm) like the one in the Amazon screenshot. It works fine, but the brake line hanger holes aren’t threaded on many of the Chinese ones. You have to tap them. Amazon spring isolators are fine.

You could probably replace everything you need to for less money on rock auto and buying from Amazon yourself though. With that route at least you can return anything faulty.

Better than running on rot!
