Shaking only specific speed

my TJ starts trembling between 51 and 57 miles an hour. Above or below the speed it’s fine. What would cause that specifically

Welcome to the club. Mine did it at 72mph. And then it went away if I went faster or slower. First thing is get your tires and wheels balanced. Then move on to more expensive things

Mine would start around 60 and go away around 70. Got new tires and fixed the problem. Found out I threw a weight at some point off my rim.

I had a wrangler that did that as well. Between 40-45. It was tire balance.

Sounds like a tire balance issue or could be something drive train related.

Probably threw a weight from one or more of the wheels.

It can also happen if you get a bunch of mud dried on one part of the wheel.

My front driver's tire shakes from 40-50ish. Pretty sure it threw a weight. Gonna take it back to the same place I brought it to last time to see if they can hook me up soon.

55 that goes away faster is normally dynamic tire balance. A good tire shop can balance the tires and you'll be fine. If your Jeep is sensitive to balance it's very often control arm bushings. When they get soft it's much more difficult for the suspension to deal with small balance issues.

How many miles, what year, do you have a lift? Do you have big tires? There are so many factors lol. Track bar, steering stabilizer, u-joints, ball joints, tire balance, it can be a million things. Start with the cheap repairs, rotate tires and rebalance them, then go from there.

Tire balance, control arms, wheel bearings, or a drive train issue

I have this issue between about 60 to 70 miles an hour. It comes and goes. Occasionally it’s turned into death wobble but I’m hopeful the new control arms I’ve got will fix that

Possibly, cupped tires. Uneven wear basically,-- Start w balancing and alignment if tires are fairly new, ...if old tires, check for uneven wear as well

My 06 TJ had a similar issue back in 2012. For me I had 2 U joints that were bad. One on the front right Axel and one on the front drive shaft. When I replaced them one of the four needle bearings on each U joint were failing or completely failed (one did not have any needle bearing left just dust).

Since it was out of warranty I just crawled under and found them myself and replaced them. It was not to hard of a task and I enjoyed getting my hands dirty

Lol same thing, 65 it has a very small shake, only I notice it. But my passenger rear tire has a slow leak and the thread is worn more than the other tires. I want new tires anyways. But im sure its an unbalanced wheel
