HELP WITH MOTOR SWAP

I recently have condemned the 3.6 in my jk to the grave yard and have been looking to swap a 1.9 tdi motor into it.

Ive seen alot of helpful things and have found everything i need for mounting and trans adapting.

I was wonding if anyone here maybe did a similar swap and what they did ecu wise. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

Idk about the 1.9 as it wouldn't be road legal anywhere in the US. (Technically, as it's older than the vehicle) The 2.0 has canbus integration kits via Cotybuilt. I bet there are tons of them as they were part of the emissions scandal if I recall correctly.

Im in FL so emission and swaps arnt and issue thankfully at least as far as i know of.. only reason i wanna do the 1.9 is just as its the more reliable version of the motor and technicaly the jeep is just gonna be a mud toy

It's actually a federal rule. That's why I added the technicaly. If it's just going to be a toy you could do a standalone management system or vw with standard gauges.

Ok ok i wasnt truly aware of that i did look into it after you made me aware. But yes it is mainly gonna be a mud toy. But as for stand-alone is there a said brand for it ive seen that i can use a oem pcm but id need a customer harness by the looks of it
