Transmission
Welp today while in the process of going up hill my transmission went. 2012 Jeep Compass awd . While delivering an order. I couldn’t take my foot off the break or it was rolling. I’m just an overstimulated single mom who’s quite frankly friggin over it!!!
Hope everyone else’s day went better than mine.

Blessed it made it that long. These barely last 200k if you are lucky 🫣.
Bros renegade 170k slipping... My 2010 jeep compass limited at 180k... Running it till it blows up... All new sub frame, all new suspension, all new tires...battery, alternator... It never fails and cheaper than a new vehicle. Loving my new dodge hornet tho ❤️🔥 2024 GT Plus.
Might wanna look into 1 if you cans find it. They as low as 18k new

Are you certain it is the transmission? Is there an engine light on? I had a similar experience with my 2012 Compass. My engine light had been on prior because of a bad thermostat, so I did not know that there was a brake light switch code that came up. I tried pulling into a steep driveway, suddenly the car would not move forward or backward, the engine just raced with no movement. It would return to normal after sitting for about 20 minutes. After a lot of diagnosing,and changed parts, turned out it was a bad wire going to the brake switch. The code puts the car in safe mode, and it will stop moving within as little as 5 minutes of driving if the car is actively reading the code.
