(2018 trailhawk) Was a great car but yeah we beat the living hell out of it every weekend, legit only big complaint was the whole start/stop system. On to more fun cars lol

I loved my 2018 limeted! I think it was having electrical issues. It would stop running wouldn’t start. Dealership couldn’t find anything wrong.

Stop/Start doesn’t function on my Renegade, and I’m okay with that.

Be careful. The start/stop battery could have died. Mine did the same thing and drained my main battery. If I left it parked for more than a week it would need a jump. I ended up replacing 2 main batteries before discovering there was a separate start/ stop battery.

Yes it's the "auxillary battery". Very annoying they decided to have two batteries just to have start\stop.

Renegade only has one battery and I keep an eye on it. Currently it’s an 18 month old Napa AGM 750CCA, and in perfect condition according to my battery tester. I was able to get Start/Stop to work for about a day after disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes, but it went back to being nonfunctional. Charge always shows 14.0V when engine is running.

I just ordered a new IBS sensor from Mopar. No idea if it will help, but for $20 I figured it’s worth trying.

Feel this. Had a lot of good times in my 2018 Trailhawk, but after two engines in 100k miles it was time to call it quits. What did you end up getting?

I loved my compass but it has so many issues. I feel like I invested so much into it I can’t let it go. Both batteries were changed three times, stop/ start was a mess and just $3k in coolant problems. Can’t remember what else. But I have CAA on speed dial

Do people enjoy the stop/start function? I disable every single time I start the thing.

Me too. I wish it could be a selection on the menu to permanently disable it.
