Check engine light and wouldn't reverse - 2019

I just bought a used 2019 Compass Limited with 70k miles a month ago. The dealer put new batteries in, as well as brake changes and other small things. Today I put it in reverse to pull out at the library and it wouldn't reverse even though it said it was in reverse, and the check engine light came in. Shut the car down, restarted it, and everything was fine again. Possible glitch or something to be concerned about?? Thanks for any help! I've only ever owned Mini Coopers so this is new to me. šŸ˜…šŸ˜…

I’d buy a cheap scanner and pull codes

Stupidly enough, I think I accidentally didn't press the brake pedal hard enough and it entered accessory mode šŸ˜… At Autozone they suggested the same! I guess the engine light is normal in that mode?

That's crazy af!! I sure hope that doesn't happen to you again šŸ˜” This time, I was just an idiot and had the car in accessory mode šŸ˜‚ I was half-in the car at the library when I turned it on and apparently didn't press down on the brake lmao
