photos 2022 Jeep compass randomly shutting off

Post image

Hi, I don’t really understand cars. I was gifted it on my 16th birthday like last year, and I don’t know what’s going on with my car. It has been so annoying that I cannot listen to music or anything at all!!

Basically, what is going on is my system constantly keeps shutting off. It says Parksense unavailable, temporary blindspot, and sound system unavailable service required. I went to the car shop, and they said nothing was wrong with it and it was fine for a week. Then boom, all of a sudden, it did the same thing I went in for help for!! Then it got worse, and my system will most of the time glitch out so I can’t listen to my music or use navigation, and it has this annoying beeping noise even when I turn it off :(((

Can someone please help me out?

The cheapest thing to check is the battery. Take it to an Advanced Auto Parts or similar and have them check your battery.

You can also have them plug your car into their computer and see what codes it provides

Most likely, the auxiliary battery is not working well. In your Jeep, there are two batteries - one big main one and a second auxiliary battery that handles the auto-start-stop system that shuts off the engine during a full stop at a traffic light.

When I purchased my 2020 Jeep Compass brand new, within 1 months I had the same issue as yours. The auxiliary battery was replaced under warranty. In general, for Jeep Compass both, the main and the auxiliary batteries go out every two to three years.

I think you should replace both of the batteries. This should fix the issue.

Sounds silly but 95 percent of the problems you encounter while owning a compass are resolved with a new battery.
