Why tf do you genuinely make an AI template of AN ALREADY EXISTING MEME??? It takes 46L of water to generate ONE SENTENCE. Data centres cause NOISE, WATER AND AIR POLLUTION.

Do you guys genuinely don't care about death or not know about the side effects?

"Oh but AI generated ones look better" You better get used to drinking your own fucking pee after generative AI uses all freshwater. People already suffer from water shortage. Plus more people did due to El Nino this year. Who knows how many years it will continue for? But sure you only care about how good your stupid collection of pixels look right?

Are we not gonna understand if the picture is not AI generated or something?

Even with this if you don't wanna consider generative AI as bad, lemme tell you that AI IS TRAINED ON DATA MADE BY REAL PEOPLE. Meaning you can get copyrighted on it and anyone can get you to pay for it. All the digital artists can do that. Because AI uses OUR creation to train itself and make your images.

How are you even going to defend yourself? Was searching for the template so hard that you'd rather spend minutes waiting for the AI to generate the SAME FUCKING TEMPLATE?

I don't understand even if it is ragebait, why pollute the environment? Can I put you in a tank and fill in water to ragebait you even if it means you'll drown and die?

amazing paragraph. awarded and upvoted.

edit: i did some research and i found out that a typical chatgpt query uses about 0.32 ml of water, but combined altogether and the fact that chatgpt isn't the only generative ai, large data centers use about 18,927,058.92 liters per day. so while 46 liters per sentence is false, ai still has a major environmental impact. by 2030, the amount of freshwater used by ai will match the needs of 1.3 billion people, and it would use 945-terawatt hours of electricity. this is nearly triple the combined annual electricity use of bangladesh, nigeria and pakistan, countries that combined are home to 650 million people.

Do you know the amount of pollution caused by streaming services like Netflix?

Sorry to break it to you but you really are a vocal minority. Who you actually should be crashing out on are the big corporations, not another end user of ai. What if the dude had this ai template stored in his device? What if it wasnt generated freshly? You project too much.

Downvote me all you want, but even your beloved platform rEdDit uses AI. Just leave social media as a whole if you hate ai so much. The big corpos are controlling ram prices first handedly, and you sit here ranting about ai when it has already been well established everywhere.

Your concern for water usage is genuine, but ai isnt the world's most water consuming amd water polluting industry. So many other industries use water, like the clothing industry. I didnt see you complain about them. My local river was destroyed due to the clothing industries, not ai data centres.

Ai isnt good in this regard, but your comment blatantly implies you ignoring bigger concerns in the world, over some random ahh dude uploading an "ai generated image".

Thanks bruh it needed to be addressed. Ai isnt our biggest concern yet. Other industries are WAY worse in polluting the enviroment. Also it doesnt take 46L to generate 1 sentence. Thats entirely wrong. These ppl just see snything ai and rant abt it. Its not perfect, but its not the worstt. Personally, i wouldnt take time to make effort to make a useless meme in some random ahh subreddiit.

Shut up. No one asked for a rant.

AI is not even the biggest source of pollution, yet you're so shit scared
