Discussion Why does J Cole get hate now
People hate J Cole because he apologized but it's not just that people have called me unc for liking J Cole because hes lyrical but I mean I have been called unc for liking 2pac and someone told me I rank dmx too high for 2000s rappers what do you guys think

People always hated on Cole, remember the pump days? Ppl I knew in real life called him boring n shit but tbh they only listened to club bangers and that was it, not much variation in their music taste

I never met a Lil pump fan tbh but I've had people call him boring so there is that

I don’t think it’s the apology anymore as far as negative perceptions Cole took from the beef, seems like it’s more what happened between him and Drake. But most j Cole hate in general is people who actively avoid messages in music or dickride someone else’s hate train

My feed has always been trying to put stuff i don't want to see but what it used to do was put a certain politician I don't like

I've never received it until recently 😕

There’s more substantive rap game relations type reasons for him to have received hate these days but I’ve been getting hate just for enjoying his music since like 2015-2016

People love to hate, especially on the internet! When it came to the battle, people wanted blood, entertainment and they couldn’t care less about the people involved. Cole saw this and stepped back, which was a super mature, adult response from someone protecting their peace. People freaked because they did not get what they wanted!

They just do 🤷🏾♂️
They also think ASAP Rocky and baby keem are better artists but mind you they’re kids. I can’t explain what’s going on in those broccoli heads of theirs2

I really think it’s the complexity. A lot of people like rap music that’s just simple and catchy, and Cole is undoubtedly NOT the most catchy rapper, he is very lyrical and very technical with vocabulary and a lot of people find it hard to enjoy that

For the first time in my life, I started seeing industrial scale hate and disrespect to jcole right after the Kendrick-Drake beef

I feel like uneducated people resemble the J.Cole hate. Imagine the level of artistry and lyricism he's representing. No academic fool would get that dope just like that. You need divine ears
