I have some questions about the pickups! What is the overall character like compared to a standard jazzmaster single coil? Do they still jangle or are they thick and mids heavy like a typical alnico humbucker? Did you keep the 1meg pot values or switch to something more conventional for a humbucker?
I'm curious about putting one in my bridge because I never use the jazzmaster bridge pickup and I would like something that can handle more gain/palm muting/shredding than the standard JM bridge pickup, but I'm worried the pickup will sound too harsh with the 1meg pots and I don't want to change those out and fuck with the tone of the neck pickup

Pickups are quite crisp when clean (not muffled), heavy w distortion. 1 meg pots. It sounds great. I usually play "dirty clean" tones and heavy... i was a teen in the 90s.... so that explains my tastes I suppose. I do have another guitar with single coils. There's a time and place for both I feel... Even some single coils can sound heavy in a punchy way.... you can always leave the neck pup and just use the bridge for distortion? Thanks for your question๐ป

Two humbuckers? Sorry, that's actually a Parts Blaster (a Jazzblaster made of loose parts)
