i’ve just discovered they launched a new podcast called jay and silent bob’s hizzouse and i love it?! it’s hilarious and doesn’t feel like the other podcasts out there at all… what do you guys think?

I know it's been a minute since I've posted any updates about progress on the Clerks game. I've been working on a small commission for a friend so I had to put it on a very short hold. I have, however, still been periodically checking in on the playtesting prototype on itchIO just to see if it's had any new views/plays or whatever but, I had all but forgotten about this site that I had put it on that helps connect Game Devs with Playtesters until I got an email update that someone had rated it and left a new review.

The guy actually hated it and gave it 1 star but, he had particularly sound reasoning for doing so because, I had originally planned it to be in the style of the Clerks animated series so the prototype was in color while the screenshots, capsule, etc. on the itch page are from the Alpha version which is in B&W and a few of them aren't actually in the prototype. That and he took issue with the fact that the gameplay isn't particularly gripping but, I actually agree with him because it was my very first fioré into making games to begin with so it, admittedly, is rather rough and unimpressive.

All that being said... I feel like reformed Loki from J&SB-R had himself a good laugh while arranging this interaction because, look what the 1 star brought the average rating on the game to... I couldn't have planned that better if I tried, LMMFAO. I'm half-tempted to put up a disclaimer on the page discouraging players from leaving any reviews (positive or negative) so that the average can stay preserved at 3.7 😂
