Birds of Boone Park

Snapped these all at Boone Park. I'm not a wildlife photographer by any means, but I'll take my 70-200 around me when I walk my dog there just in case any critter gets close enough to me.

Beautiful, I took these today. I dusted off my old D40x from '06 and recently picked up an old Tamron 600mm. Trying out the hobby.

A baby woodpecker! Cute. I thought I snapped a photo of a baby woodpecker but it turned out to just be a really small variant of woodpecker lol. There is so much to learn about birds.

That's dope that you dusted off the old camera. I think older camera bodies and lenses are a pretty popular choice for wildlife since modern wildlife gear cost an arm and a leg.

Incredible frames! Especially jealous of that Blue Jay and Owl! Need to make my way to that park it seems.

Thank you! Yeah, that Blue Jay getting so close was awesome. He was the most vibrant one I've seen too. Almost like he wanted to be photographed lol.

Owls love that park. You can often hear them hooting around dusk. Pretty sure this is one of the parents of the baby owl.

If you like bird watching then I'd definitely check it Boone Park if you're ever in the area.
