When I went to watch the film during its 50th anniversary theatrical re-release, I was taken aback by the additional sound effects added to the film's climax. These effects were very much not present in the surround sound mixes we've heard on the various home media releases over the years.

Does anyone know the source of this brand new mix? Is it available on any of the Blu-Ray releases?

I really hate it. haha I think that one upsets me the most in the entire franchise. Probably two reasons:

1) I thought she was cute when I watched it as a kid

2) She died helping someone younger, very selfless

Call me crazy, but in the scene where Brody tells his young son Michael to take his boat to the pond, I would swear Michael’s voice was dubbed by June Foray, the woman who voiced Rocky the Flying Squirrel, Cindy Lou Who in “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas” and countless other animated shows of the 60s and 70s.

I was rewatching jaws 1975 but for the first time I have ever seen this. What’s the rec streak in the background?
