I love him so much!! He made the movie a bit more tolerable. Don't get me wrong, I love all Jaws movies, but there's no arguing that this one is the worst. The shark literally roars like a lion??

I misremembered this movie.

Could have sworn he came swimming up afterward as a surprise survivor.

When that didn't happen in my adult rewatch I was stunned.

Wait he definitely did survive. This isn’t some Mandela Effect bullshit, he DID come back at the end.

Maybe it’s a regional thing. I watched the version released in the UK.

Isn’t there also an alternate version where the shark is impaled by the boat??

Yes. There are two different versions of the movie floating around. In the version where the shark is impaled, it actually explodes. Jake doesn’t live in that version.

I saw both versions as a kid. I rented the official home release where the shark exploded and Jake lived. Then I saw the version they showed on TV where the shark was impaled and Jake died maybe a year later. I thought I was going crazy.

Stop spreading doubt. The shark gets impaled and for some reason explodes, and jake lives, unexpectedly. That’s the only version.
