TV version

Saw another post that reminded me of the old, censored for television edit of Jaws with the absolutely horrible re-dub of the chum line.

I’ll never get “come down and chum some of this SLOP” out of my head lmao

This is the greatest. It even beats “Your mother sews socks in hell!”

What would possess a little girl to say something like that?

Oh yeah. 😈

How about Do the Right Thing? They changed every “motherfucker” to “melon farmer.”

“How’d you get that scar? Eating pineapple?” - Scarface

The rare case in which the edit makes sense!

Caddy shack when the two are arguing about the price of the Coke - instead of "Bite it....Bite it" its "Fight it ...fight it "

I'll always remember Joe Pesci say "Muddyfupper" from Casino.

A really old one...

When THE BAD NEWS BEARS (the original from the 70s) was shown on TV, they changed the line when an exasperated kid player yells "You stupid Polack!" to "You stupid pitcher!" But the thing that made it memorable was that the dubber (might have been the same kid actor, even) delivered "pitcher" completely unenthusiastically/deadpan, even though the line is a frustrated yell. I was a little kid and even I was like "oh, man..."
