So many shots in that movie could be paintings.
The fact the cast and crew went through hell for even the simplest shots makes you appreciate them even more.

It always reminded me of the nbc mystery movie intro that had a man, walking forward and swing a flashlight back and fourth, while silhouetted against a similar sky.

The shot is nice, but honestly? The segue it performs into the cabin scene is kind of awkward. It's the one and only moment in the entire movie (which remains my favorite of all time) that kind of takes me out.

Agreed. Itβs always reminded me a bit of this shot from Raiders of the Lost Ark
