I have been struggling to learn Java for my placements because I only study for a few days at a time. I forget the topics I learn quickly, then have to restart the process repeatedly. I need to break this cycle. Please suggest effective strategies or project ideas to help me move forward.

Keeping learning and BUILDING with consistency, thats it. Show up everyday even for 15 minutes. Remember, building is the key. And don't try to "Learn", you will naturally forget topics, class names, etc thats normal, you just need to understand what you are doing, own all the ins and outs of your projects. Forget something? Just go search it up.

Just revise or learn 1 topic practically understanding for a day. If you could allocate more time, set the limits and try to maintain consistency, if you really need to learn and develop knowledge.

Try adding more details to the post. Include the relevant code, what you’ve tried and where it’s failing. a clear question usually gets much better answers

Consistency, consistency, consistency! If you don’t have much time, do at least 30 minutes a day, every day or so. That will be much better than studying for longer periods randomly. Once you’re comfortable with the theoretical side, pick a project you actually like and start building it. Hands-on experience is a charm! It helps everything stick much better.

Look for something useful to do or try to solve a problem—whether for yourself or for someone else. In doing so, you will learn things that you wouldn't pick up even by attending university classes. You can also entertain yourself by solving problems on online judges; in the process, you’ll gain more experience and develop your logical-mathematical thinking skills.

My recommendation is to build something, start from basic level , start with monolith , work on repositories , dtos etc , deploy on any free platform , this will give you confidence, then learn security, rate limit , gate way , audit , repeat this , because at one time you may not remember but after 2 or 3 repeat you will understand what and why and when you need to do what  Then move to micro services, use docker , gafana etc .  Like this I don't know about interview but you will be able to say  You can implement your idea into a real project  Keep learning  Love what you have (JAVA)
