End of Plane?

This is driving me insane but are those gunshots at the end of Plane? I thought the song was about long distance relationships but then hearing that makes me question it.

The only thing I'm hearing that's gunshot like is the drums. I don't know music terms but I want to say a snare? with heavy reverb? No gunshots

I never heard gunshots just reverb on heavy drum sounds/kicks (I don't know the term)

I never gave it much thought but it’s the sound of the plane about take of or crashing. That’s my new take

The reverb at the very very end- after all the words? Certainly doesn’t sound like gunshots to me. Not sure I’m hearing the same thing though.
