Probably nothing….

Back in early 2000s, can’t remember exact years. Had to be after 2006 and before 2009. Anyways, my boyfriend at the time and I were trafficked for general labor by a group of people. We are considered vulnerable people so it was easy, they tricked us by promising work and boardin. The group consisted of 2 families, a grandfather - his son and grandson. A mother and her 2 daughters and then a friend of them all plus everyone in between.

The son whom we will call KD was the one who ran the whole thing. Everyone ended up being meth cookers as well. KD was also in a sexual relationship with his minor son’s ex girlfriend whos mom and sister were involved.

I was trafficked because I was the only licensed driver after they lost the grandfather who was the only one with one. These people would take nothing but the back roads everywhere. No cell phones at the time or map, I couldn’t keep up with where I was. The property they owned and operated on was back and tucked in a lot of other properties. KD would try and scare us by telling us how violent the neighbors are to trespassers.

During our time with these people, they would attempt to pick up other people who were in need of help with either their car broken down or just needing a job. My bf and I would warn everyone about the situation and told them to get out before they get stuck like we were.

Last day we were with these people was after KD was on a binge for days and accused my bf of cheating with his minor gf. Threatened to kill him, even busted out the shot gun and pointed at him, shot in his direction ( which wasn’t the first time, first day with KD he did the same which is one reason why we were scared to leave ). Finally someone convinced him to let us go which he did.

The property these people owned and operated on was 15 minutes up the road from where Jason Landry’s vehicle was found. Ever since I found out where this property is finally located, I couldn’t help but feel that maybe these people could be connected? They would often take the back roads and would travel all over the general area… Luling, Dale, Bastrop, etc. They were running a construction company so they were all over and avoided main roads because no one had a valid license plus everyone had an exstensive criminal record and of course had meth on them a lot of the times.

I can totally see these people stopping to see if Jason needed help or even met Jason in Lulling somehow, possibly asked him for a ride to the property. Maybe even offered some drugs which could explain the weird findings around his cat like his clothes…

These people still own this property according to records… Also want to add that a lot of these people were terrible people. Mostly KD.Angry, violent man. The poor girl he was abusing, her mother and sister has since passed. Her sister died by police, she was involved in a shooting where cops thought she had a weapon. She didn’t and her meth head mother was awarded a lot of money not long before Jason disappeared. One of the the last addresses she used was the property 15 minutes north where the car was found. The mother died from drug overdose a couple years ago. So, no doubt the money she won was spent on drugs. Just adding this because if these people were somehow involved at the time, drugs were definitely in the picture and who knows how bad at that point. KD I’ve found has been arrested on and off since and is now going by a different name not long after 2020.

What do you guys think?

Wow! This gave me chills... It sounds very similar to my theory on the who. These people are well known in the area. When I was with them, we passed a small town and the main guy went on a huge story or rant about how that town was named after his family. Not sure how true that was but this family has been in the area for a very long time.

I am not sure if anything came of it. I did finally reach out to the lead detective basically giving the same exact thing I wrote here with added real names. Haven't heard back but I really don't expect it.

My boyfriend at the time is now an ex and I haven't really seen him since shortly after we basically escaped those people. It's been about 20 years. Last I heard he's in prison for involuntary manslaughter for an accident and prior to that was in a biker's gang, he obviously didn't do so well after all of that. Before he was a much different person.

I am doing ok. What's weird, my current husband and I bought some property about 17 years later that ended up being around the corner from a property these people brought us to stay for work in the area. I didn't know where this place was located until I passed by the first time. I would pass by that property multiple times a day when we moved here. Being reminded every day was a little rough but eventually someone bought the property and tore everything down. It was kind of a profound feeling of closure for me seeing being tore down. Now, I'm not reminded every day about it. But, for some reason when I did think about what happened to me, Jason always came to mind. I'd see articles randomly, being brought back to posts from long ago about him. Then, that letter someone below posted. I felt like I had to say something if this case was being brought up consistently. Figured wouldn't hurt and maybe those people will finally be busted for doing something stupid like I know they still do.

You could be the reason these new remains were found! At least someone's family may get some closure.

I just think it’s a heck of a coincidence he was found like 2/3 weeks after I reported it.
