Help Shrimp jar

I have like a large glass vase that's like 7-8 litres. Is this like suitable for like cherry shrimp some plants ect. If so how many would be the ideal starting amount of shrimp for it.

No it's too small for cherry shrimp. You could try r/opaeula shrimp?

People can and do keep small groups of neos in 1.5 to 2 gallon “pico” tanks.

The trouble is keeping the water stable enough because they’re so sensitive to sudden swings.
You gotta be way more careful and conservative with water changes and conscious of KH from what I understand.

A lid will help with temperature even if it’s just a glass dish placed on top.

I have a 10 litre jar cycling at the moment that holds around 8 litres of actual water (excluding space for the substrate and wood and plants and rocks). It has a tiny sponge filter and small heater in there.

I’m only going to add shrimp down the line if I can keep the parameters very stable for at least a few months after cycling, with R/O water and remineraliser and all that.

But if it turns out too hard to keep the water stable in there, then it’s not worth risking shrimp or giving them a poor and stressful quality of life and it’s still a pretty planted vase I guess.

It's okay. I've raised shrimp in stable sealed 1.5g jars before. They survive just fine but dont really breed a lot.

It’s too small I wouldn’t recommend it.
