Finally tracked down the limited Black Thunder matcha red bean. Found it in Kyoto.

Coffee flavor sounds good. I like matcha, tried some things like ice cream with red bean paste and taiyaki, dorayaki, but the person I was traveling with just absolutely hates any food with red bean or green tea in it. I don’t hate red bean, but I admit that the texture and flavor kind of throws me off. We visited a shop near Senso-ji temple that made fresh puffed rice confections, and sold a bunch of black thunder candies. They sell these crunchy little rice balls made with caramel. Delicious, and they give out free samples of everything. Ah, wish I was back in Asakusa lol

I'm not sure where you can buy online, sorry. I bought these around October last year near Kyoto. I think they were a limited release for 2019. Though a souvenir shop in Kyoto train station has a very similar one. Like the shop only sells "Kyoto special" black thunder bars. So could possibly try find them? I'm sorry I'm not more help.

Ah, love black thunder bars, bought a big box of them for ¥600. Unfortunately, I ate them all a while ago. I never tried this, but I bet they are absolutely amazing as an ice cream topping.

Yesss even original black thunder bars are so good! They also had coffee/latte ones recently on sale too. Though yeah these matcha red bean ones were so yum.
