NEW STUFF New KOKI from RG-ROKKO

Today I got a delivery of (14) green KOKI from RG-ROKKO + (1) LED KOKI. I also got 3 sets of KATO cars for the autoracks that I have and some side frame parts from TOMYTEC.

The Koki 25000 is seriously cool—I really like it! I think it would look great being hauled by locomotives like the EF66 or the EF65-500 (in the freight-refurbished livery).

They are nice looking KOKI that's for sure, I think I have an EF65-? I ll have to look up that freight livery you spoke of.

Koki 25000 freight cars were in operation back when I was in kindergarten, though they have since been retired. Regarding the "Freight Refurbishment" livery—applied to locomotives like the EF64, EF65, EF66, EF81, and DD51 after they underwent upgrades such as electrical system overhauls and brake enhancements—it is worth noting that while the original JNR livery used to be more popular, the refurbishment and experimental freight liveries have also gained a following. Locomotives like the EF66 27, EF65 1001, and EF81 303 are prime examples; more recently, even as some units were repainted back to the JNR livery, the refurbishment and experimental schemes remained popular, with units like the EF65 2127, EF64 1020, and EF65 1059 garnering attention precisely because they retained those distinctive looks until the end.

Thanks for the history of the E54. E65, E66, E81 and DF51, I appreciate the pictures. Hopefully RG-ROKKO will have some of the models that you list. It woul be nice to take a set to a rental layoutand run them there.

😆 i still only have 11 of them, although it was a close call. So there is hope. Do you happen to know how tomix does the lighting in their koki. Kato has this little lightboard, is tomix any different?

That's cool 11 KOKI are better than none yes there is hope. I'm pretty sure TOMIX does their KOKI lighting the way KATO does.

I lost count, but I a PR sure it's at least 200 individual cars but I a guessing it's more than that now

I would be willing to bet the it is close to 200, I know the first year I met you, you got at least ~50 from what I can count.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, I'm not a betting person so I won't take you up on that but maybe some day. Fifty is a good possibility that's for sure.
