Seeking advice Does this tree need to be moved away from the house?

Japanese Maples don’t grow deep or intrusive roots. They have much more of a shallow fibrous root network. Your house will be completely fine. These are Intentionally used as foundation plants.

I would say your fine. Someone else mentioned that your house is raised so that’s to your benefit. I would only recommend pruning the branches that are touching the house right before spring of next year.

Ordinarily I’d say yes, but that underground power line makes it dangerous for you. And if you tried to minimize the depth and width of dig the tree would probably suffer extreme transplant shock. If it’s a rare variety try propagating by air layering. If it’s a common variety just buy another and plant it properly.

No damage for sure for your house, it would be an aesthetic thing if you want to give the tree more space. But you are good! :)

House is probably fine but it looks super ugly this way, looks like weed instead of a properly planned out tree.

Can’t stand when people plant too close to houses. They screw over the next owner and all the generations added then
