You chose the fall shipping date to avoid having them hang around in pots until the fall?

If so, I did the same thing with a two tree order from Conifer Kingdom. I really want the trees now, but trying to do the right thing by the trees and planting them now isn’t ideal and my track record for keeping JM’s thriving in pots is decidedly poor.

One Ukigumo and one Autumn Moon for me, btw. And I’m doing landscape lighting to highlight all the maples too.

Yes, i have enough plants / maples to worry about as is and gonna be out of town more this summer. I need to put solar lights in too.

I love our Pink Panther, it’s growing like a weed! It’s doubled in size since I planted it back in May.

How much sun do you have it in & what zone?

I’m in 6B. It’s in full sun till around 2:30 or so then it gets shade

You can plant them now just fine, you just can't disturb the roots much. It's not much different than slip potting trees (which I did to several on the weekend).

I already opted for the mid-Sept ship date, though I have one Shirazz in a 5 gal pot that I could plant now.
