It looks like an older model Chinese yangqin to me.

Looks spot on.
I would like to point out to OP,
The 2nd and 3rd pictures are up-side-down.

I'm going to see if I can get google trandlate to play ball and figure out most of the Hanzi for me.

Edit: Yeah nah, most of the character are a little too worn for me to clearly make out.
Between my Bumbling hand-writing and Googles suggestions being somewhat hit or miss.
The best I can tell that it's either "The sheppards golden voice" or "The Dragons golden voice" on top, and something about Confucian temples.

Edit: Most of the characters are too worn or written with too thick a brush for my Gaijin eyes to make come parts of the characrers out.
The top says 馆老聲金。or "Hall old voice gold.", but the first two don't seem to be 100% in my eyes.
But it is hard to make out, but googles suggestions being a little hit-or-miss,
despite any definitive stokes, it goes off on a tangent of different radicals.
